The World of White Wine Tasting Edinburgh

Focusing first on the lighter side of wine we’ll explain the intricacies of White wine. How’s it made? What difference does the grape variety, region and oak make? What’s the actual difference between dry and sweet and what temperature should it really be served at? We’ll taste a number of varieties from all over the globe designed to show the breadth and diversity of white wine.

Venue: Maxi’s Café just across from our shop on Raeburn Place/Edinburgh at 7pm.

£15 individually or you can sign up to the entire course for £70 – saving yourself £20 and making sure you don’t miss out on anything.

CUWS Madeira tasting with Tim Stanley Clarke

Another prestigious and exclusive event in the highly popular wine tasting series organised by the Cambridge University Wine Society, run by Cambridge Students and sponsored by Cambridge Wine Merchants, and taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Upper Hall in Peterhouse College.

This time one of Britain's leading experts on port and fortified wines, wine writer Tim Stanley-Clarke, will take attendants through an impressive range of Madeiras.
