Comparative Bordeaux Tasting Edinburgh

We’ll be doing a flight of comparative tastings where you’ll be trying wines in pairs (see below for details). Tasting like this really helps you develop your understanding of wine: you’re not waiting for minutes in between sips so your impressions from one wine to the next are all the more fresh.

Is Bordeaux losing ground? Bordeaux has been a powerhouse of the wine world for centuries, but current figures indicate that the world seems to be forgetting its love affair with the region. Here we are going to evaluate a flight of Bordeaux along side wines at equivalent prices from other French regions. When compared to these regions Bordeaux definitely seems behind the curve regarding adopting modern technology and marketing. Classics however, are classics for a reason; Bordeaux’s esteem was not reached by chance. Appreciating where you stand on this issue will ultimately lead to a more informed and rewarding drinking experiences.
