Chilean winemaker Raphael Urrejola visited Cambridge on 23rd November
We were very fortunate to receive wine maker Raphael Urrejola from Chile on 23rd November
for a tasting of his award winning single vineyard wines from some of Chile's best vineyards.
Raphael is employed by Vina Undurraga to seek out the best terroir and vineyards and make excellent characterful wines. The wines are called Terroir Hunter "T.H."
Cambridge Wineblogger Tom Lewis wrote an excellent blog on the tasting at http://cambridgewineblogger.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
We are now stocking 3 of the range, 2 Sauvignon Blancs and a Syrah.
The Lo Abarca Sauvignon Blanc 2008 won the Decanter International Trophy for best Sauvignon Blanc over £10. At just £10.99 that's some achievement!
The Maipo Syrah 2006 is excellent and rated by Oz Clarkes in his Top 250 wines of the year. £9.99
The Leyda Sauvignon Blanc 2007 represents excellent value at £8.99
