Hal has been enthusiastically involved in wine and food since coming up to Cambridge to read Classics at Peterhouse. After graduating he entered the wine trade, establishing Cambridge Wine Merchants with Brett in 1993. He runs our HQ and fine wine department and deals with press. Specialist Areas: Bordeaux (Hal handles all our En Primeur business), Burgundy, Rhone. He’s also our Finance Director, which is why (unlike so many of our competitors) we’re still in business.

Brett Turner
Chairman
Brett and Hal founded CWM and they still own the company. Brett deals with strategy and expansion, setting up new shops and projects, and does all our design and marketing.
