The cellar master, Alexander Gabriel, has the the great pleasure to open for the very first time his private collection of exceptional cognacs. Premier Cru single cask 100% Grande Champagne, unique in the world! These preciously guarded treasures rest under the vaults of the Chais Paradis, in the underground passages of Mademoiselle's 19th-centuary manor. These forever inimitable vintages, from the oldest to the most recent, are made from Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Colombard grapes. Although it is impossible to reproduce them, they all have one thing in common: each of them bears witness to the extraordinary character of Grande Champagne and to the savoir-faire of the Cognac region perfected over the centuries. These extraordinary cognacs are not blended and are bottled at their natural alcohol content right out of the barrel, without filtration.

This is Edradour at its best, bottled by the distillery's owners, Signatory Vintage, as part of their Unchillfiltered (UCF) collection. We'll spare you the philosophical discussion about wherther this counts as an official or independent bottling and get straight to the point. Distilled at Edradour distillery in 2012, this spirit was matured in a single first-fill sherry cask which acts as the ultimate balancing foil to the decidedly old-school, rustic and funky spirit character. As the name suggests, this whisky was bottled without chill-filtration, nor additional colouring.

COLOUR: Amber AROMA: Very distinctively oily, with touches of extra virgin olive oil, sweet briar wood, aromatic herbs (coriander & sage) and a suggestion of smoked lemon peel. The house of Cognac, Cognac Ferrand is at the origin of this fascinating brand that is Plantation Rum. Maison Ferrand originally maintained privileged relationships with the best distilleries in the Caribbean to which it sells barrels that have contained its Cognac. The barrels of the Ferrand house are very popular with some rum producers who use them to refine their product. During these exchanges, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover very old batches with an aromatic richness and a diversity of extraordinary aromas.
