Critic Review
17/20 Tamlyn Currin jancisrobinson.com "Full bottle 1,439 g. 50% Grenache from a vineyard in Baixas, Roussillon blended with 50% Fer Servadou from Aveyron in central France. The Fer Servadou is from Vincent’s friends at Coultades du Coustoubi. The ‘78' moniker comes from both postcodes being added together - 66 for Roussillon and 12 for Aveyron. Proper ‘vin de france’. Check out the postcodes. And an absolute cracker of scrumptiosity! Blackberries, mulberries en masse, amassing, moshing and massively galosh-ingly juicy. It’s a riot of a wine. A pop-up party, a rave of fruit. It plonks in your glass unannounced and with dreadlocks and a tattoo of tannins up and down the neck and shoulders of the fruit and says: ‘I’m here. You’re going to do what? Drink me!’ And so you will. And do. Because this wine is impossible to say no to"
