A pure fruited, wonderfully fluid natural wine without additional sulphites. Shimmering fruit backed up by gorgeous savouriness and delightful floral notes - this is a real star for those who like a little restraint and class in their glass (only 12.5% abv). This is an utterly delicious take on Côtes du Rhône with Grenache leading the way backed up by Carignan and then Syrah. Beautiful balance and real elegance. Vigneron Frederic Julien has some talent!

Mas Almes x Domaine Odyssée is Vincent's Carreras' TRULY exciting collab release of 2025. I mean, the collabs are always exciting and excellent quality, but this REALLY surpassed all expectations. We thought the wine Vincent selected would be exciting, but nothing quite set us up for tasting this wine in early May 2025. At CWM we ship some of the very best value aged Roussillon sweet wines. Les Larmes du Soleil Rivesaltes Ambré - Hors d'Age - 19 years old, from Malvoisie and Muscat d'Alexandrie From Vincent Carreras: "For three years, between 2018 and 2021, before moving to the (current) Torreilles winery, I was able to set up my suitcases, or rather my vats, with Louis Rigaill, at Mas Almes, who kindly welcomed me. Being in the midst of a transition, I was able to continue structuring my project. At the back of his cellar, there were about forty barrels containing real treasures.... old sweet wines had been sleeping there for over 10 years. Louis allowed me to select the barrels of my choice and create a unique blend. So I thank him for his welcome, his advice, his generosity, and his patience with me over these three years, it's important for me to thank him in my own way, through collaboration. Cheers, Louis! Dvine pet nat from Gramiller. So fine, fruity, fresh and elegant. 100% Grenache Noir with no skint contact give aromas of white peaches, wild strawberries and red currants. The palate unfolds with these flavours whilst being juicy but oh-so fresh An outstanding effort.

Natural, biodynamic and vegan. Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre from 80 year old vines, Made without filtering or fining. Pale but gorgeous mid red colour. At first on the nose, you are like "What even is that?". Whatever it is, you know that you like it. Elegant, subtle fruit is intermixed with gentle herb, earth and savoury charachters. Deep and wonderful. On the palate the wine is elegant and deep again, but not heavy in the slightest. Ruffled fruit and savoury notes with minerality and real finesse. These wines are like no other from the Roussillon. Outstanding. Magnum sized.

50% Muscat d'Alexandre and 50% Muscat a Petit Grains fermented on skins. "Light orange in colour, this blend of two Muscats (Petit Grains and Alexandria macerated for 14 days) is fragrant and perfectly pitched, with gorgeous notes of orange peel, dried leaves, apricot and mango. It's so well balanced, being both floral and a little rusty and leafy. The palate is concentrated, with really good presence and a long, spicy, cumin-infused finish. It's still fruity enough not to be overtly savoury, but also not massively flowery and exotic. It's so spicy! Dom. des Trinités Le Pioch Rosé 2024 Faugères AOP is brilliant effort in 2024 - the wine not made since 2020 vintage. This harvest was helped along by our very own Kit Ruscombe-King who went out to help with the first grapes into the winery. This 2024 is a very interesting take as the team chose to use half juice that was directly pressed and half juice that was bled. This has given the wine quite a unique texture in rosé terms. Non-certified organic. "Peaches and watermelon with a brightness and clarity that seems to sparkle like cut glass in sunlight. Pellucid. And yum! You know when you eat watermelon and it's sweet and dripping down your chin and you know you're not being graceful as you gulp chin-dripping mouthfuls and then you bite deeper into the peel than you should and get this watery shock of green that makes you feel thirsty and thirst-quenched all at once, and then you bite into a shiny brown pip and it's bitter and almondy and crunchy and you're supposed to spit it out but actually you swallow it because. Energy is a word used a lot by the finest Roussillon growers. We don't think there has been a finer example than this extraordinary wine from the freres Danjou. A thrilling wine.

Simon Coulshaw makes natural wines: no cultured yeast, enzymes, chemical tannins or fining product and farming with respect to the environment, although the domaine isn't certified organic. A funky red/white first appeared after the frost effected 2021 harvest. A much lower white crop than normal and a far fresher red one, led to this one-off cuvee from Roussanne, Grenache, Viognier and Syrah. It's fragrant, it's juicy, it's fun. It's has no adds whatsoever, not even any sulphites at bottling. This return in 2024 sees the small harvest of rich Viognier added to majority Grenache of the lighter, perfumed variety and also the whole production of Simon's 120yo Cinsault vineyard. Absolutely gorgeous wine that is a steal at this price.

Pech Mege is a silky, focussed wine showing deep red fruits and the fresh minerality which is a characteristic of the schist soil of their vineyards.

Old vine Grenache grown on decomposed black schist with a limestone sub soil with some quartz, that produces something amazing. Ethereal, sublime and fresh, this achieves a level of finesse akin to fine red Burgundy. Remarkable, special, very good indeed.

This Syrah blend with soft black fruits and spice has been shaped by the sunbaked rocky soils of the Languedoc hinterland. A herbal, spicy bouquet is followed by youthful red cherries and supple mineral character derived from the schist rich soils.

Made from 100% Cinsault that's from a single site of black schiste in Espira. The vines are 130++ years old. The light to medium ruby-colored wine has pretty, juicy notes of cherries, dusty spice-box and dried flowers in a medium-bodied, delicious, charming style. Elegant, thrillingly mineral and very long.

From a vineyard located on the sandy banks deposited by the river Ouvèze. Vinified whole-bunch with a short maceration and then 6 months breeding in concrete vat produce a serious, deep and lush but mineral and savoury wine. A fifty-fifty mix of Clairette Blanc and Rose. A GREAT introduction to this most exciting of estates based in Vacqueyras and Gigondas.

Gorgeouly aromatic and open. Fine and detailed - beautiful SA Cinsault. The Cinsaut grapes come from the Rustenhof Farm in Faure. Vines are dry-farmed bush vines and planted on granite and sand. Grapes are fully destemmed before fermentation to preserve acidity and the wine is matured in 500l neutral oak barrels. Mick and Jeanine Craven started Craven Wines in 2014, sourcing fruit from single vineyard sites in and around Stellenbosch and making 'site-specific, honest wines'. Originally from Australia, Mick met Jeanine whilst working in Sonoma, California, before both moving to South Africa in 2011. All fruit sourced now comes only from vineyards whose farmers are dedicated to working their land organically. Stellenbosch has an array of different sites and terroirs allowing Mick to 'let the grapes do the talking…' Increasingly they work with farmers who understand the importance of cover crops and removing chemical treatments. The winemaking approach keeps things relatively simple; no cultured yeasts, enzymes or fining agents are added. Bottling is with minimal sulphur additions.

Dom. Chan Chan - Vins d'Altitude. A new-generation wine estate crafting refined, high-end wines from organically farmed, high-altitude vineyards on granite soils in the Roussillon. The estate is headed up by Manuel Hebrard & Mathieu Tiché who have previously spent time with our friends Danjou-Banessy, Gilles Troullier and Leah Angles to gain invaluable experience to help enable them work as well as they can in their breath-taking vineyards. Wow-wee. What an unusual but utterly remarkable treat. 100% Syrah grown on high altitude granite. Two thirds picked for "Rosé" and directly pressed, the remaining third picked a little later and put to a 48h cold-soak when fermentation is underway on the first pick and then the later juice is added. This produces wonderful lifted aromas but little tannin and a quite extraordinary colour for the cepage. A wine of great energy and interest that happens to be utterly delicious. Bravo Chan Chan!

Lazzer. WHAT a wine. 100% Lledoner Pelut - a rare, indigenous grape variety and a cousin of Grenache Noir, AKA "hairy Grenache" - the word 'pelut' means hairy in Catalan. The variety gets this moniker due to its furry leaves and buds. It's grown on beautiful granite soils at an altitude of 500m, overlooking the Vallée du Têt facing Mount Canigou. Aged for 18 months in small sandstone eggs and fourth-use demi-muid barrels. The nose is dominated by dried herbs & earthy notes, perfectly encapsulating the rustic terroir of this commune. These are succeeded by aromas of strawberry & rhubarb. The experience is inverted on the palate, fresh cherries & strawberries dissipate into a savoury & herbaceous finish. Grippy tannins pair with juicy acidity to support the wine harmoniously, giving the wine a liveliness with a supple, velvety texture. Our favourite and arguably the estate’s finest cuvée; the altitude, granite soils and breeding help give this wine such lift, focus, concentration and freshness.
