Critic Review
16.5/20 Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com "If I wanted a bottle of red wine to tuck into the couch with on a Friday evening committed to watching (too many) episodes of a Scandi Noir while nibbling nervously on popcorn, this one would be it. It has all the juicy generosity you need when your mouth is dry (agape?) with the fear you’re nonchalantly pretending not to feel. It’s moderate enough in alcohol for a few extra (furtive) sips for Dutch courage. It’s sweet enough to succour the grim moments, and has just a little dose of medicinal tasting herbs and spiciness. It doesn’t need attention, but it’s kind. You could add a slice of cheese on toast to augment the popcorn, and it wouldn’t mind. It could even handle that pizza you vowed you wouldn’t order. And if you sipped it on a late afternoon with fine charcuterie, you would notice just how surprisingly elegant it is. GV (TC)"
