Triple Zero is the cuvee that used to be Jacky's standard Petillant Naturel. The title refers to the fact this sparkling cuvee is not chaptalised, dosed, and contains no residual sugar. Essentially it is as pure as fizzy Chenin gets, taut, finely-tuned, intense floral flavours of citrus, minerals, white peach and apple blossom, overlaying a creamy, supple texture. This is a careful blend of the three of the classic Champagne varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, and is made using the traditional method where the second fermentation is done in the bottle. It has a fresh, fruit aroma of green apple, melon with subtle honey and floral characters. On the palate a delightful combination of toffee apple and baked apple, rounded with good acidity and a delicate mineral finish.

A lovely Burgundy white with notes of orchard fruits, citrus, and vanilla with crisp acidity. The Prudhon family is one of the oldest in the village of Saint-Aubin. The vineyard has been passed down through the generations and today, the domaine covers 15 hectares of vineyards, spread out over Saint-Aubin and its neighbouring communes Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet.

Gérald Delhome "This is an interesting newcomer to the ranks in the northern sector of Crozes-Hermitage, with vineyards in the communes of Crozes itself, Larnage, Gervans and Erôme. There are almost 11.5 hectares of Crozes across 20 plots, Romain is the fifth generation; his great-grandfather Flavien Delhome had vineyards, while, on his mother’s side there were vineyards under her family in the shape of Severin Habrard, so there are two old roots at play here. Father Gérald took over the domaine in 1993, and concentrated on apricots and vines, the grape harvest sent to the Cave de Tain. Son Romain came on to the domaine in 2018; he had worked locally at Gigondas and in the Ventoux at Chêne Bleu, as well as in Virginia in the USA. The cellar was built in 2019. The domaine is HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) registered, a green credential, and the 2022 harvest will be officially organic. 100% Marsanne (1950s-late-1990s) from sandy-loess soils on Les Védias at Erôme & Gervans, hand harvested, whole bunch pressing, 3-4 day pre-fermentation maceration at 6°-8°C, vinification in steel vat until 1060-1050 specific gravity, then transferred to 3-10 year 228-litre oak casks, lees stirred at the end of fermentation, raised 9-10 months. 5,500 bottles produced". Wonderfully idiosyncratic. A lovely delicacy and intricacy, one is almost unsure the varietal is Marsanne, such is its elegance. The aftertaste is really delicious and where the wine really comes into its own - savoury, saline, nutty with a note of marzipan and, oddly, a touch of aromatic hops. Brilliant from the young star Romain!

St Aubin has got to be one of the best value wines in Burgundy. This is a full-bodied, generous and precise wine. Easily accessible, it is the perfect accompaniment for aperitifs or a simple cooked meat (charcuterie), poultry or fish dishes.

This is phenomenal wine from such a young vine (planted in 2018). When looking at the 2022 vintage of this wine our senior buyer Stewart Travers thought the vines need to come on a little to show the terroir a little more to stand up in the market. We were literally knocked straight off of our feet on tasting the 2023 vintage, the vines and the fruit from this wonderful terroir have come on LEEPS and BOUNDS. Deep golden yellow colour, full, rich nose of flowers, quince and a touch of warm spice. Juicy and impressively deep on the palate with the fine acid brilliantly and elegantly holding everything finely in tune on the utterly delightful finish. What a wine, and simply another reason why we so look forward to following Dom. Delhome. Young Romain is a star!

Very attractive nose of white orchard fruit, pears even a hint of quince and a floral note. The same on the palate but with a sweet citrus note giving added juiciness. Subtle red apple fruit, full, perfectly balanced oak. Youthful but approachable right away. Fresh and vibrant, this is delicious, and great value!

Pale, deft and zesty and enticing. A perfect example of mid-Mosel dry Riesling - delicate white peach fruit, cool slate minerality. Top grower, all estate fruit.

100% Chenin Blanc from Vouvray, one of the most famous regions for that grape variety in the world. A super smooth, well rounded example with mainly ripe apple flavours upfront, juicy acidity and there’s also a little floral feel to it too - unmistakably an off-dry wine with the ripe fruit pushing forward. A very easy sipper, thoroughly enjoyable.

Les Enseignères is one of those stealth values in the complex world of Burgundy. Its western border forms the eastern edge of Batard-Montrachet, and it is one of the rare spots in the Cote d’Or where a grand cru slopes directly down into village-level territory with no premier cru in between. The Prudhons own just shy of a hectare of quite old vines here between 30 and 80 years of age.

A delightful, stylish blend of Clairette Blanche, Grenache Blanc and Picpoul. This wine has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, it reveals subtle aromas of citrus, melon, peach, with delicate notes of infused white flowers. The palate is rich and deep, both smooth and juicy, offering a beautiful balance and a cool, mineral and persistent finish. Lovely stuff.

The ‘Pipoli’ white is made from a blend of Greco and Fiano. It has a wonderful aromatic intensity with great depth on the palate, illustrating just how good these native white varieties are. Think pear, melon, elderflower and tropical fruits. A triumph.

A generous and balanced palate of sweet rosewater and Turkish delight complemented by the crisp acid Riesling component adding a zesty finish.

Wonderfully fresh and floral, tastes of elderflower and cool grapes. Very soft, not too acidic like many NZ SBs at this price.

Spain is really upping its game with its delicious white wines and this high altitude cool refreshing Rueda is an excellent example. Vibrant aromas of white peach, citrus and grass. Fruity, fresh palate, really elegant.
