Allegrini
Long-standing single-vineyard classic from the outstanding Allegrini family. I've always loved this wine. Somewhat like a 'deployable' version of Amarone, but so much more interesting than most Ripasso. Plays a sexy line between juicy silky, lush and chewy tannin and oak. Intriguing notes of blossom and ripe citrus fruits.

Drappier
Such a classic of the rich Pinot-dominated style, Pint really is their thing, down in sunny Urville where they've been since 1808 - still a family-owned House. Often seen on the lists of smart restaurants; quite the food wine, quite superb. Jancisrobinson.com 17/20 "Rich, creamy aroma. Brioche and pear. Lovely stone-fruit character. On the palate, glorious baked-apple brioche and excellent acidity. Almost a little chewy... orange and apricot.." Decanter Part of The best non-vintage Champagnes to buy: "Described by Drappier as 'almost a blanc de noirs', this Pinot Noir-dominant wine sourced from the Côte des Bar is the house's calling card. 5% of the cuvée is matured in barrels for a year for added complexity and texture, and it's bottled unfiltered with a fairly low dosage of 7g/l. There are some melon and apple scents on the nose along with a splash of red fruits, while the palate is intense, with notes of apple, quince and grape wrapped in a red-fruit veil. It's full-bodied and long, with a lovely texture from the red wine tannins and oak-matured portion."

Warre's
Warre’s was alone for many years in continuing to make LBV in the same way as it had been made for generations; bottled without any fining or filtration after some 4 years of ageing in cask. This Port is then matured in bottle for at least another 4 years. This prolonged bottle ageing is crucial to the development of the superb “nose” and flavour which lend this Port a style and complexity very much akin to that of Vintage Port. Warre’s LBV is generally acknowledged to be the finest of its type. Food pairing suggestion: This wine is superb with cheese, nuts and dried fruits after a meal.

Simply wonderful aged tawny port from the masters of the style, Graham's. Aromas of coffee, caramel and mulberry dominate the nose and there is a lovely ruby colour in the centre of the tawny, showing that it is young and fruity. Great dessert wine.

Croft
Attractive cassis nose with powerful, concentrated fruit aromas. Fresh, rich, firm and full of fruit including, dark berries and chocolate. A wine with good body, structure and length. Single Quinta wines need decanting as they are usually a decade old, and will throw a sediment as they age. Walnuts are an excellent accompaniment to Vintage Port, along with rich flavoured cheeses such as Silton and dried fruits.

Fonseca
A fine and rare type of port much loved by CWM. The wine forms a crust adding both depth of flavour and character to the wine, and therefore will require decanting before serving. Definitely worth the wait.

Fonseca
Located on the steep right bank of the Távora River, Panascal is one of the most highly reputed vineyards in the Douro Valley. In the words of a local saying, 'From Roncão and Panascal come the finest wines of Portugal'. The wines of Quinta do Panascal are rich, with voluptuous fruitiness, mouth filling density and a velvety texture. A fat, plump, luscious wine. Full of rounded, ripe jammy fruit aromas. Almost warm 'marmalada' like note to the nose. The ripeness and richness of fruit is reinforced in the mouth with flavours of plump, bursting plums and cherries. Great notes of tobacco, smoky tea (lapsang) and spice. A warm, velvety, satiny wine.
