Water-white. Very introvert nose. Still extremely youthful but with hints of a complex cocktail of passion fruit and minerals to come. Grainy texture on the finish. This is a baby! Super-clean finish.

Weissburgunder is the German name for the Pinot Blanc grape variety and is enjoying a rennaissance. Not much planted in the Mosel valley so this one from Richter is a rarity. Fine notes of pear, gooseberry, some hay and classic slate minerals. Slim and elegant!
Delicate and dry with wonderfully defined crisp apple and pear fruit with a tiny hint of honey and herbs. There is good weight here, but beautiful balance to which makes it attractive and easy to drink
The 2021 Elisenberger Kabinett enchants as usual with its classic red and dark berry bouquet of cassis and ripe red berries. Excitingly charged on the palate with almost clashing acidity, suitably fruity balanced. Shows a lot of juicy, fresh tension with the best drinking animation and that with great lightness in alcohol and body.
My personal fave vineyard for Pauly wines when young. Slate flavours wonderfully evident behind the white peach and ripe-lime beauty of this poised treat.
Impossible ancient family grower, exceptional best-in-a-generation vintage.
From younger parcels in premier and grand crus including Brauneberger Juffer, Himmelreich and Treppchen, all grapes are of Qmp status. Quite simply a perfect essence of young, ready to enjoy Mosel style at a deeply tempting price.
Fresh, delicate aroma of apple blossoms and a hint of citrus and slate. An animating, enjoyable and juicy Riesling with crystal clear mineral texture; excellent balance of aromatic sweetness and racy fruit acid.
