Hermitage Single Estate Cognac
Aged for a minimum of 10 years, its maturation in oak barrels has added to the complexity of this relatively young cognac but its flavours of spice and coffee, with pineapple in the background, are characteristic of cognacs from the top cru. Excellent value for one with such a good pedigree. Aged in Limousin oak barrels for over 10 years in fairly damp cellars. These conditions help to keep the spirit in contact with the natural tannins in the oak for longer Double distilled on a small Charentais Alembic still as this helps to concentrate the wine flavours during distillation. There are flavours of spice and coffee with pineapple in the background. Flavours which have become more complex as the cognac has matured.

Romain Le Bars
It was created using botanicals that were foraged locally in the spring and summer of 2021 in a bid to capture the essence of the shifting English seasons. Billed as a “collector’s item” The gin was distilled using the company’s novo-dimensional distillation system, in which nine variables including temperature, pressure and time can be adjusted for the distillation of each botanical. These separate distillates are then blended together to create the final spirit. With botanicals include lemon balm, hawthorn blossom, nettles and cow parsley flowers, Cambridge Distillery says the gin is elegant with citrus and herbaceous notes. It recommends serving chilled, over ice, or in an extra-dry martini.

Giffard
Golden yellow liqueur with fine orange shades. On the nose, very typical aromas, reminding the sweetness of apricot juice. The bouquet is revealed in stages : almonds notes at first, then the sweetness of very ripe apricot, with a vegetal touch and sweet spices in the finish reminding of one caramelized apricot marmalade.

Made from bitter blue oranges from the island of Curacao. Really? No. It's made from Laraha Fruit, which is like an orange, but smaller and with little to no sweetness. The spirit is dyed blue before bottling. No idea why.

The award-winning Isle of Harris Gin is made in our home village of Tarbert, every drop distilled in a small copper gin still known as 'The Dottach', before being bottled and sealed by hand. Refreshing, with good balance between the bitter juniper and pine and the sweet fruit flavours of mango, grapefruit and orange. A green herb flavour of crushed coriander develops. Distinctive and smooth with a dry, flinty taste.
