Aroma : A pungent burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee, with Ardbeg’s classic fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires mix with herbal and fruity (banana & tropical) notes, along with fragrant candle wax.
Taste : An extremely vibrant, hot peppery mouthfeel, leads in to a burst of sherbet lemon sweetness (candied apples, pears & oranges), hints of carbolic soap and tar, more creamytoffee, aniseedand chilli pepper.
Finish : A long, mellow, lingering aftertaste, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes. An elegant, soothing style of Ardbeg.
Totally different to anything we’re released before, this ‘field to bottle’ single malt is light and floral, with layers of summer berries and vanilla ice cream. There’s a sweet and oaky spiciness that hints at a fantastic glass of Spanish red wine. Distilled in 2016, Filey Bay STR Finish first spent years maturing in bourbon casks before transferring to be ‘finished’ in STR red wine barriques from sunny Rioja in Spain. STR refers to Shaving, Toasting and Re-charring the casks, resulting in a cask that delivers a really beautiful and balanced maturation.
One up from their standard 10-year-old bottling, the 12 Year Old has two more years in the cask and is a step closer to the sherry-heavy older expressions.
A 12yo Highlander from Glengoyne, famed for their unpeated single malt. Glengoyne is always very pure in style, allowing their high-quality, easy-drinking whisky to shine in its natural state.
The baby Tomatin in the family, light and approachable. Unusually for an entry level malt they use a suprising amount of virgin oak in the maturation process.
Nikka from the Barrel is big-boned and bursting with character. Not averse to a drop of water, either. A real star, winning top prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards in 2007 and 2010.

Palate: Sweet initially with cracked black pepper,
Seville orange and raspberry flavours lead
to baked apple and subtle spice.
Finish: Charred oak and soft smoke.
Nose – Peach, pear and tangerine. A rich fruit cocktail.
Palate – Rich, round and plummy. Lovely juicy blackurrant notes. Lime and chocolate. A little meaty and a touch of oak char. Overall: A cracking whisky. The Malaga wine cask adds some excellent dark fruit character, but the slightly meaty, charred whisky notes make for a balanced dram. One of the favourites at a recent staff tasting.
Mossburn's Cask Collaboration Series kicks off in style with this 12-year-old Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky, finished in rum casks from legendary Barbados distillery, Foursquare! A small batch of four standard barrels from Glencadam Distillery have been used to create this Highland Single Malt, distilled in 2011 and aged for eleven years. With its new make character boasting fragrant floral notes and orchard fruits, Glencadam is a delicously silky and moreish dram, increasingly popular as a distinguished single malt.

Released in 2014, this no-age statement Taketsuru bottling is a blend of malts aged 10 years on average in different types of oak casks. A high percentage of Miyagikyo malt gives a fresh fruity character, joined by mature aromas from an important sherry cask influence.
Light initially, with fruit notes, nutty flavours and a sweetness from slight hints of vanilla and caramel. Becomes more full-bodied in its finish, as rich dried fruit attempts to dominate the palate. Made on Islay.
Stewed fruits, Seville orange and chewy toffee with some warm gingerbread spiciness emerge first, with hints of peaches and cream and caramelised apple underneath. A little earthy clove and black peppercorn add depth among burnt sugar and some tropical fruit.

After a series of small batch releases, the team at Ardnamurchan are now satisfied they can make a 'core' release at a consistent level to now do away with the codes that were featured on previous releases.
So moving forward we will have AD/ as an ongoing release, with a brilliant balance of soft, slightly sweet smoke, bracing sea air and rich, full fruity notes. For such complexity to be present in what is still relatively young spirit is a stunning achievement, and the team should feel so proud of what that are producing.

Benromach TRIPLE DISTILLED is a limited release matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. Passing once through the wash still and twice through the spirit still, it delivers a lighter style which offers delicate and sweet notes with ripe tropical fruits, malt biscuit and vanilla, leading to banana, green apple and subtle smoke.
This whisky displays vibrant notes of banana, mango and papaya along with biscuity malt character and baking spices. On the palate there is a pronounced richness with notes of chocolate, coffee and cinnamon before finishing with a hint of stone fruit and black pepper.

Peaty whisky from Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, named after a previous incarnation of the distillery. Maritime and smoky, this rivals some of the Islay drams for power, and the 10 year old balances the intensity of youth with rounded, well-aged spirit.
As part of its 20th anniversary, Compass Box has released this limited edition cask strength bottling of its Peat Monster as a nod to the USA-rooted origin story of the core expression. Peat Monster came about after Compass Box created a whisky for Park Avenue Liquor Shop in New York, which became a hit, and so Peat Monster was born. This expression of the blended malt Scotch sees some of the whisky that makes up the blend finished in virgin American oak barrels, for some extra vanilla and spice.

AROMA : Rich, sweet, aromatic and fruity, baked banana bread and syrupy sponge pudding fill the senses. Notes of treacle trot into a distinctive whiff of burning cedarwood. A splash of water releases a bounty of tropical fruits. Eucalyptus oil mingles with and soft, aromatic smoke.
TASTE : Zesty notes of lime and sweet peaches canter across the palate. A burst of rich smoked fruit and baked bread prance into antiseptic lozenges, creosote, and aniseed. Soft barley malt combines with nutmeg and peat smoke.
FINISH : The influence of these rare Madeira casks is undeniable. A whimsically smoky finish welcomes a long and lingering aftertaste of menthol, clove, wood smoke and camphor.
Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is the first in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings. Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water, like trying samples from the warehouse itself! Master Blender John Campbell and the team at Lochlea have chosen Bourbon and Sherry casks this time, and every year will show further progression of our whisky. Despite the very limited volume available in each country, the few who manage to secure a bottle will experience a true undiluted and unfiltered window into Lochlea whisky.
