The folks at our King's Parade Branch have put together a Perfect Christmas Case for you. It includes one bottle of each of the following: Jansz Premium Rosé NV Brut Tasmania: Seriously up there with the best of Champagne: yeasty and buttery. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle and is aged on yeast lees for as long as possible. Honeysuckle and citrus scents are immediately apparent, slight aromas of nougat, roasted nuts and a hint of strawberry from the Pinot Noir. Delicate fruits and creaminess fills the mouth with a lingering finish of citrus and nougat. Lanzerac Chardonnay 2021 Stellenbosch The wine has a bright hue with a golden straw colour. It displays a refreshing nose of bright pear and peach blossoms with subtle lemon meringue and notes of freshly rolled oats. A full-bodied wine with great palate tension. Crisp apple and chalky citrus are infused with mild layers of Crème Brulé, spun sugar and floral potpourri. The flavours are vibrant, and the finish refined Sauvignon Blanc 2020 Maison Lispaul Slightly richer than a normal Sauvignon Blanc but keeps its sharpness and purity of fruit. Citrus flavours blend well with the tartness of green apples and pear. Zweigelt Niederosterreich 2021 Funkstille: Abundant red cherry, plum and vibrant berry fruits combine in this joyful, bright and incredibly juicy red; medium-bodied with beautifully ripe and light tannins and touch of spice on the finish. Barbera Nizza DOCG Ca' dei Mandorli 2018 Ricossa: Smells like LUXURY! Super-low yield Barbera from the best sunny spots, some serious winemaking and a lick of posh new oak. What a beauty. Lots of deep red cherry, so smooth its almost syrup like. Graham's LBV 2017 Port: Graham’s consistently produces some of the best LBV’s and this is no exception. Loads of black and red fruit, touches of spice and cedar smoke, and of course plenty of sweetness.

2 btls each of Dom. des Soulanes Patchwork Rouge 2019 IGP Cotes Catalanes, Cert. Organic £12.99 Wonderful new cuvee from the brilliant Daniel and Cathy Laffite based in Tautavel. These guys have some of the most beautiful vineyards we have ever seen, and they are worked with utmost care and respect in an organic way. Glorious Grenache and Carignan deliver so much pleasure with beautiful fruit, great minerality and supple, savoury tannins. DELICIOUS. Negroamaro I Muri 2021 Vigneti del Salento £12.99 Negroamaro is the most important of Puglia’s native black grape vines. Its origins are uncertain, but may have arrived in Italy with Ilyrian traders even before the Greeks arrived in the 7th Century BC. Ancient vine grown in the ancient Taranto region - the inside of the heel. Inky dark, packed with plum and spice. Very natural winemaking, very lush endearing wine. Altolandon Mil Historias Bobal 2020 Manchuela, Cert. Organic £12.99 Bobal is Spain's second most widely planted red grape but is far less familiar to most wine lovers than the most widely planted, Tempranillo. This good-value, unoaked example is grown at high altitude on north- and south-facing slopes by the Altolandon estate, 90 minutes north of Valencia. Deeply coloured, it has some of the rusticity that is associated with the grape, with attractive, slightly spicy blue- and blackberry fruit. Fairly simple, with lightly grippy tannins and good acidity - try it with lamb chops. Contents and image may vary.
