WSET qualifications are part of the UK National Qualifications Framework and also globally recognized. The Cambridge Wine Academy is an approved WSET School, with an outstanding pass rate: See below for details of WSET courses available.

Why Choose The Cambridge Wine Academy?

·    Principal tutor, Steve Hovington has worked in the wine trade for over twenty years, running high profile London wine shops and winemaking in France. He holds the WSET Diploma in Wine and Spirits and is a member of the Association of Wine Educators. Based at Cambridge Wine Merchants, Cherry Hinton Road, he has trained over 450 WSET students at three levels since 2009 with excellent pass rates.

·    Cambridge Wine Merchants is a leading UK drinks company – UK Independent Drinks Retailer of the Year – and has a deep understanding of success in the industry.
·    CWM is a great resource for wine knowledge - hosting hundreds of tasting events, winemaker visits etc and employs dozens of expert staff. There’s not much CWM doesn’t know about wine and is always there to help.

From an on-trade employer’s perspective, wine and spirit training (apart from being fun and a life skill) is immediately profitable.

Where and When?

We regularly run courses in Cambridge (at the wine school, Cherry Hinton Road), and in Oxford.

Alternatively, we can come to you – a great advantage as you don’t have to send staff away for days at a time. If you can’t fill enough places we may be able to find some spare candidates. Wecan be very flexible with course timings – splitting courses over half-days, weekends etc.
