Critic Review
18/20 Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com "Full bottle 1,344 g. Organically farmed. 130-year-old Grenache vines – the oldest vineyard they have. On slate soils, a gentle slope. Hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation, no additions bar minimal sulphites, unfined and unfiltered. Smoke. Cordite. Peonies. Smells like the breath of dawn in early summer. Tastes of salted plum skins. Heady with rose petals. Blood orange, red chilli, peppercorn, rain. It's gossamer, and the transparent texture of sparrow song on a dew-wet morning. It's apricots and black salt, blood into thyme into tangerine into rocks bleeding old rain tears. Bay leaf, mint, a hint of decay. A nacreous, pure finish. A pause. Stop breathing for a second. You can almost taste your heartbeat. (TC) 13% "
