Critic Review
17/20 Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com "70% Sangiovese, 30% Syrah. Organically and biodynamically farmed, although not certified. Vineyards near Faugères, Languedoc. Hand-picked, spontaneous fermentation, unfined, unfiltered. Cloudy pink, the colour of my Victoria plums as they ripen on the tree. It smells of guavas and jasmine. It tastes of blood oranges and rhubarb pie, of old rain-soaked terracotta roof tiles and wild hawthorn berries. There's a sweet slick of cinnamon liqueur and a dusting of fine-ground-cinnamon texture. It's ebullient and generous with its fruit, and cautiously kind with its droll bitterness. It's a serious, serious, food-loving rosé and yet it's not remotely hard work. You could pair this with pretty much anything! GV"
