95 points Wine Advocate "The soils are calcareous rocks with a little bit of topsoil to keep some freshness and control the Cabernet tannins. The wine has the granular tannins of Cabernet, the only giveaway of the grapes used, as the sense of place seems to be more intense than the fruit. There is more ripeness in this 2012. This is a great expression of the calcareous soils through Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink 2015-2025. "
Wonderful colour to to this cool climate Cab Franc - light cherry. Light-med aromas of bright blackcurrant and black cherry. Hint of leather. On the palate it's lighter than you anticipate but still has good structure and not flabby. Dry, medium bodied, light med acidity. The tannins are there but well refined. This lingers really pleasantly and develops more of a spice and pepper complexion. The undercurrent of blackcurrant throughout is really pleasing. Lovely drinking.
A pure Malbec from Agrelo, with the pleasant and unctuous aromas and textures of the area, a place of heat that gives such gentle malbec, with hints of spice, with that round and juicy fruit, warm and expansive, but above all that creamy sensation. on the tongue.
