A Blended Scotch Whisky from Adelphi, perhaps better known as an independent bottler. However, this blend of grain and malt whisky is from its private stock which is kept in a solera system. Though excactly where the whisky hails from is kept rather hush hush, we suspect it contains spirit from all over the shop, from Islay, Speyside and Campbeltown.
A blended malt comprising of coastal single malts, first aged in American oak casks, before finishing in casks specially coopered with heavily charred European oak heads. This finish adds richness and enhances the smoke in this dram.

Rosey Mitchell is the 2018 winner of The Circle, a programme designed to inspire bartenders around the world. Rosey’s prize? To create a blend with Compass Box founder John Glaser and whiskymaker Jill Boyd. Rosey wanted to make an approachable whisky to be shared with friends, something for the daytime, a whisky with brightness. She called it 'sunshine in a glass.'
Made by macerating gentian roots in grape neutral alcohol and this maceration is then double-distilled and blended with herbs and other botanicals that have also been macerated. The blend is aged in well-seasoned casks for 18 months.

As part of its 20th anniversary, Compass Box has released this limited edition cask strength bottling of its Peat Monster as a nod to the USA-rooted origin story of the core expression. Peat Monster came about after Compass Box created a whisky for Park Avenue Liquor Shop in New York, which became a hit, and so Peat Monster was born. This expression of the blended malt Scotch sees some of the whisky that makes up the blend finished in virgin American oak barrels, for some extra vanilla and spice.
You would not think it to see it now, but Ardbeg had a difficult time of it for much of the 20th century. The distillery was bought in a joint venture between Hiram Walker and DCL in 1959, both intending to supply their blends.
The subsequent years were very successful, but DCL backed out in 1979 (closing many of their other distilleries a few years later), and Hiram Walker then struggled in the 1980s era oversupply when interest is blended Scotch was waning. They closed it down for the majority of the decade. It re-opened briefly in the 1990s before being revived for good by Glenmorangie plc in 1997.
This whisky was distilled on 20th February 2013 and aged in single second-fill ex-Manzanilla butt #247.
It was bottled at cask strength on 9th September 2021.

MacNair's Exploration Rum from The Glenallachie Distillers Company.
Initially matured in American oak in the tropical Panamanian climate the spirit was then transferred to The GlenAllachie Distillery in Speyside. Once expertly blended, the rum underwent secondary maturation in Red Wine, Virgin oak and ex-Bourbon casks.
The taste of pineapple, mango and peaches followed by treacle, coconut and orange zest.
Famous Grouse Smoky Black was renamed from Black Grouse at the end of 2015. This blend is based on peated Islay malts, and offers 'reassuring smoothness with aromatic, peaty flavours'.
