Using different aged liquids ranging from 7 to 21 years and by maturing the liquid in small batches in five unique casks, they have created a whisky that is rich and complex.
With spirit selected by the master distiller from Quarter Cask, PX Cask and Triple Wood (Oloroso sherry) and a final addition of 10 Year Old, it represents a subtle blending of peat, oak and sweetness.
Those enjoying the 10 Year Old will first notice the bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. This full-bodied variant is the foundation of all Laphroaig expressions and comes with a long finish.
