Vasse Felix
The youngest child in Vasse's stable of Cabs, Filius offers affordability, approachability and a glimpse of the greatness the top wines in this classic Cab region can achieve. The nose is lucid and high-toned, with red currant, floral and savory spice aromas, and graphite, gravel, and toasty oak notes. Cab's characteristically chiseled, savory tannins are in full force. There's acidity, red fruit and spice aplenty. Linear and powerful yet fresh—bring out the protein and drink now–2030. Christina Pickard

Adi Badenhorst
Fairly simple cherry and redcurrant aromas lead to blackcurrants and plums in the mouth, with refreshing acidity and a line of bitterness on the back palate. The grapes were whole-bunch pressed, which perhaps adds that greeness underneath the ripe fruit. A more structured, tannic wine than initially expected, but with lovely fruit - delicious wine.

The Second wine of the magnificent Château Clos de Boüard, Dame de Boüard presents all the typicity of a great wine from Montagne-Saint-Émilion, an appellation located on the Right bank of the Bordeaux region, a few kilometers from Saint-Émilion. The Château Clos de Boüard estate covers 30 hectares of vines, aged 40 years on average, planted on clay-limestone hillsides with beautiful southern exposure. The blend is made up of 66% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged for 10 to 14 months in barrels, of which 30% is new oak.
