Intense dark red with a hint of violet. The bouquet gives an impression of sweet earthiness and lifted florals, blueberries, fresh tobacco, white pepper and spice. Pure florals, red berries and a silky texture.

Deep purple red in colour, the wine is a heady mix of dark berry fruit, with earthy nuances and lifted florals from the addition of Viognier. Excellent structure, it has great depth and richness of plums and blackberries with supportive, balanced oak and a lingering finish.

This seamless blend of Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet has created an enticing wine that exceeds all expectations. Ripe plums, mulberry, cherry blossom, and violet aroma while infused with subtle hints of cinnamon and sweet spices. The palate is gentle and the tannins fresh but rounded.

This wine is full of vibrant red fruits balanced with spice and sweet oak. The mid weight palate has lots of red cherries and blackberries and finishes with gentle spicy oak and mocha characters.

The altitude cools this otherwise super-deep wine. A true high-altitude Barossa classic. Founded 1972 by the legendary David Wynn. 550m above sea level, Mountadam is to this day the highest estate in South Australia and harvest can take place a full month later than in the lower Eden and Barossa Valley. Winemaker is Phil Lehmann - another legend!
