In the early 1970s, Benriach broke convention in Speyside by returning to distilling batches of whisky in the old, 19th century style, using malted barley smoked with Highland peat. This wood rich Highland peat imparts distinctly sweet and smoky notes into Benriach peated whiskies. Benriach The Smoky Ten has been crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit and three cask matured for at least ten years in a combination of bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak. The whisky is then expertly married together to create sublimely smooth layers of sunripe fruit, aromatic smoke and toasted oak spice, lingering into the perfectly balanced sweet and smoky finish.

Almost four years since we formed the GlenAllachie Distillers Company, bringing the distillery back into private ownership, we released the very special expression as an extension of our core range. Our Master Distiller, Billy Walker, has worked tirelessly on perfecting this expression since day one; evaluating casks and refining recipes to create something special. We’re proud to present the jewel in our crown; the GlenAllachie 15 years old.
The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old is bottled at 46%, non chill filtered and natural colour.
Anty gin, which is literally made with ants as a botanical, started as an idea from the Nordic Food Lab - an organisation run by Noma's Rene Redzepi and gastro-preneur Claus Meyer - and was brought to life by the Cambridge Distillery. This Anglo-Danish vegan nightmare contains the essence of precisely 62 ants, which add a citrus flavour to the gin and are used instead of the more traditional orange or lemon peel.
Although Anty gin is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the world's first gin made from ants, it is not the first time that ants have ever been distilled – centuries ago they were distilled to create formic acid, which is useful as a preservative and antibacterial agent.
One-shot distillation ensures every drop contacts the Portuguese alembic copper still. The result is a soft and thoroughly drinkable gin.
Light juniper with fresh apple and a delicate citrus flavour, balanced perfectly by a subtle sweetness and distinctive creamy notes.
Nose – Delicious sweet sherry aromas, fresh apples, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup and a hint of heather smoke.
Palate – A honey sweetness at first, with an oaky note. Bit of citrus and dark chocolate.

Heavy with rich dried fruit, hints of mint and oranges covered with a dusting of cocoa. Faint vanilla and tobacco spice.
TASTE
Rich, chewy, rounded and smooth, with complex citrus, cinnamon and cocoa. Toffee, caramel, chocolate and spice notes abound.
FINISH
Silky smooth, almost creamy at first with a long, warm satisfying tail.
Gin from Bruichladdich, containing 31 botanicals, of which 22 are native to Islay, including Mugwort, Meadow Sweet and the enigmatic Lady's Bedstraw flowers.
Walks with Darcy (the distillery dog) through the meadows surrounding their distillery inspired William and Lucy Lowe to capture the taste of the English seasons.
Using botanicals grown in and around their own home they created a recipe including juniper, fresh basil, rosemary, angelica, lemon verbena, blackcurrant leaf and rose petals, each individually distilled and expertly blended into this outstanding gin.
