90% Tinta Negra Mole, 10% Verdelho. A golden, medium dry wine. An aperitif or an ideal accompaniment for consommés, pâtés, particularly pâté de foie gras, cheeses or cakes. A very good all purpose wine.

Really unusual, quite light-bodied and super-complex. Flavours of vermouth and orange marmalade. Tame on the tannin. Amazing.

Just a touch of maturity gives this some interesting layers of complexity. Remains fresh though - a lively aperitif served properly chilled. I also forgot to mention the complexity here lies in one of the reserve wines being from 1964! They really are geniuses at blending historical wines…

Graham’s Late Bottled Vintage, like Vintage Port, is a wine of a single year however it is not a 'declared' Vintage Port. Whereas Vintage Port spends only two years in casks and then matures in bottle, LBV is aged in casks and then bottled at between four and six years of age. This wood-ageing encourages the wine’s development and thus, at the time of bottling it has completed its maturation and is ready for drinking, without the need for decanting. Graham’s Late Bottled Vintage illustrates Graham’s house style very effectively: great rich fruit concentration with spicy complexity and depth, held together by superb structure and balance. Graham’s has always been renowned for producing outstanding Ports and its Late Bottled Vintage Port is no exception, standing as a leader in its category. While the fortified wine within is in the classic Graham’s LBV style, the packaging has been revamped. The new bottle is 18% lighter than previous Graham’s LBV bottles, weighing 450 grams. The house previously launched its Six Grapes Reserve Ruby Port in the same, lighter bottle in a bid to reduce carbon emissions from shipping.

96/100 Decanter "It's 17 years old, but this 2008 colheita is as fresh as a daisy, exuberant and complex. Swirl the glass and nose the heady aromas of dried stone fruits (apricot), candied peel, vanilla, roasted nuts and spice. There's a refreshing citrussy lift to it too. The acidity keeps it vibrant, and the finish goes on and on. This has years and years of life ahead of it."

Golden-brown with reddish hues. The nose is intense and rich, with notes of syrup fruit, spices, and dried fruit. Other notes include walnut, hazelnut, and a hint of coffee. A blend of dried fruit (like fig and apricot), caramel, and nutty notes (like almonds and cashews) dominate the delicious flavours, with hints of citrus that provide balance. Attractive golden colour. Elegant and complex, there is sweet spice, and with woody and earth notes. Brown sugar and caramel are perfectly rounded with a clean and moreish finish.
