The folks at our King's Parade Branch have put together a Perfect Christmas Case for you. It includes one bottle of each of the following: Jansz Premium Rosé NV Brut Tasmania: Seriously up there with the best of Champagne: yeasty and buttery. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle and is aged on yeast lees for as long as possible. Honeysuckle and citrus scents are immediately apparent, slight aromas of nougat, roasted nuts and a hint of strawberry from the Pinot Noir. Delicate fruits and creaminess fills the mouth with a lingering finish of citrus and nougat. Lanzerac Chardonnay 2023 Stellenbosch The wine has a bright hue with a golden straw colour. It displays a refreshing nose of bright pear and peach blossoms with subtle lemon meringue and notes of freshly rolled oats. A full-bodied wine with great palate tension. Crisp apple and chalky citrus are infused with mild layers of Crème Brulé, spun sugar and floral potpourri. The flavours are vibrant, and the finish refined Sauvignon Blanc 2024 Maison Lispaul Slightly richer than a normal Sauvignon Blanc but keeps its sharpness and purity of fruit. Citrus flavours blend well with the tartness of green apples and pear. Zweigelt Niederosterreich 2023 Funkstille: Abundant red cherry, plum and vibrant berry fruits combine in this joyful, bright and incredibly juicy red; medium-bodied with beautifully ripe and light tannins and touch of spice on the finish. Chateau Caronne Ste Gemme 2020 Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux Smells like LUXURY! Wonderful old school claret from one of our best friends in Bordeaux, Francois Nony. Graham's LBV 2019 Port: Graham’s consistently produces some of the best LBV’s and this is no exception. Loads of black and red fruit, touches of spice and cedar smoke, and of course plenty of sweetness.

We have been importing it into the UK for 12 years and we always knew it was great, now some of the top wine critics agree with us, unanimously. A premium cuvee made exclusively from the premier cru villages of Cumieres and Hautvillers. These are warm sites, with south-facing vineyard s well-exposed to the sun, and for this cuvee Bertrand blends the three main Champagne grape varieties in equal proportions. It's aged for six years in the cellars before release, which is unusually long for a grower estate, and this long ageing on the lees contributes to the wine's complexity and finesse. Fermented in 2,000-litre vats with a small proportion of whole bunch. Maceration for approximately two to three weeks, with gentle pumpovers twice daily for cap management. Aged in French oak (25% new) for 10 months before blending. Violet-fragrant dark-berry fruit with sweet tang. A very gentle wine. Traces of oak that, like foraging for mushrooms, you only spot when you know what you’re looking for and once you’ve seen one, they all start popping up in the understory. Tannins that breathe in and out like a creature in deep, contented sleep. (TC)"

Riesling Classic 2023 Famille Hugel, Alsace. Fruity and floral on the nose with crispiness and medium+ acidity as a contrast on the palate. Outstanding Riesling that is several steps ahead of any other regular/basic house Riesling. Citrus, grapefruit, hints of honey and minerals. Riesling Niederosterreich 2022 Funkstille, Austria White peach, apricot compôte and plentiful floral notes add to the juicy texture, and lovely acidity balanced with a hint of residual sugar. Austria may not be as famous for Riesling as Germany or Alsace, but it should be!

Pinot Noir - the classic grape of Burgundy. It's not only the place it shines but it's the place that most growers want to measure their wines against and we start this selection with a terrific wine from the famed Cotes de Nuits village of Morey-Saint-Denis. Remi Jeanniard is a 5th generation vigneron who has 20 acres of prime land, including Grand Cru Clos de la Roche, 1er Cru and village wines in Morey, Chambolle and Gevrey. He's a class act as his old vine Morey 2020 attests. We've matched it up with another non-Burgundian Pinot Noir, Danbury Ridge, from a bit closer to home. As in being from Essex, England. Our thirs wine comes from the other side of the planet, grown in the cool Central Otago region of New Zealand's South Island.
