Romain Le Bars
It was created using botanicals that were foraged locally in the spring and summer of 2021 in a bid to capture the essence of the shifting English seasons. Billed as a “collector’s item” The gin was distilled using the company’s novo-dimensional distillation system, in which nine variables including temperature, pressure and time can be adjusted for the distillation of each botanical. These separate distillates are then blended together to create the final spirit. With botanicals include lemon balm, hawthorn blossom, nettles and cow parsley flowers, Cambridge Distillery says the gin is elegant with citrus and herbaceous notes. It recommends serving chilled, over ice, or in an extra-dry martini.

For its 10th Anniversary, Cambridge Distillery is releasing a special pack featuring some of the most iconic of its gins including the multi award-winning Cambridge Dry Gin, Truffle, Japanese and Anty Gins. The Anniversary box is a celebration of Cambridge Distillery’s mastery in the art of flavour. This is a collection of classic Dry gins made from fresh botanicals harvested all around the world, from the English meadows of Grantchester, our home, to Alba in Italy or even Japan. Along with our permanent range and to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we wanted to recreate some of our most popular gin prototypes so 4 out of the 12 gins included in the pack will be re-editions of old gin creations.

To taste, there’s a juniper center stage for sure, but the citrus (lemon and orange peel) is vibrant and the peppery finish (from cassia, cinnamon and angelica) adds a distinct bite to proceedings.-Gin Foundry

Cambridge Distillery
Cambridge Distillery's Anty Gin is the result of a collaboration with the visionary thinkers of the Nordic Food Lab, and is the very first gin in the world to be made from insects. Each bottle of Anty Gin contains the essence of approximately 62 red wood ants, along with hand-foraged botanicals including juniper, wild wood avens and nettle that complement the sharp citrus notes created by distilling the ants. A 5cl dropper bottle of pure ant distillate is also provided for you to experience the unique flavour of the Formica rufa in isolation – or to intensify the citrus notes in an Anty Gin & Tonic.

Cambridge Distillery
Walks with Darcy (the distillery dog) through the meadows surrounding their distillery inspired William and Lucy Lowe to capture the taste of the English seasons. Using botanicals grown in and around their own home they created a recipe including juniper, fresh basil, rosemary, angelica, lemon verbena, blackcurrant leaf and rose petals, each individually distilled and expertly blended into this outstanding gin. Bright, herbaceous, beautifully rounded and exquisitely refreshing, this gin captures the quintessential taste of the English seasons.
