This exceptional sherry brings together the finesse and delicacy of an Amontillado with the richness and body of an Oloroso. An extremely versatile wine. Aged for 12 years in Bodega la Emperatriz Eugenia in Jerez de la Frontera.
Light amber in colour. Nutty and dry with nuances of vanilla, mocha and dark chocolate. Dry and concentrated, this wine has a long and elegant finish.
90% Tinta Negra Mole, 10% Verdelho. A golden, medium dry wine. An aperitif or an ideal accompaniment for consommés, pâtés, particularly pâté de foie gras, cheeses or cakes. A very good all purpose wine.
Carpano Bianco has a light yellow colour, a fresh and complex aroma and an easily identifiable winey note, in addition to citrussy and exotic fruit flavours. Fresh cocoa beans and almonds complete the bouquet of this delicious vermouth. An initially smooth and velvety palate is rounded off by a complex winey note with mineral tones. Persistent and delightful, this vermouth is perfect for any occasion.
The Rutherglen Muscat is typically tawny red in colour with aromas of rose petals, raisins and dried fruit. These characters carry through to the palate, balanced with fresh acidity. The wine is unctuous and rich yet zesty and balanced.
This classic Rutherglen is made in the traditional manner using a range of different oak barrels. Each wine is aged as a single vintage and vineyard parcel until blending.
Croft is one of the most distinguished and highly regarded of all the Port houses. Founded in 1588, it is also the oldest.
The rich and powerful 2003 is a fine example of this excellent vintage. Sweet, aromatic and impactful, with a ripe, sumptuous palate and supple, rounded tannins.
Great vintage and a really good small Barsac property that is next door neighbours with Ch Doisy Daene, the excellent Grand Cru. The wine shows a lovely pale golden color with deep golden highlights. Round and well-balanced offering complex aromas of candied fruits backed up by a hint of exotic fruit (mango, guava) and white flowers. On the palate, it is ample and fleshy, leading into a silky and long finish.
This Amontillado Muy Viejo has more than 30 years of ageing in oak barrels giving it an intense concentration and complexity. Dry in taste with hints of cedar, leather, walnuts and a lingering, nutty finish. It is a great partner for roast beef, hearty casseroles, game or mature Cheddar cheese.
Aromatic and intoxicating, offering toasted almonds, caramel, dried figs and coffee bean. Dense and rich yet tight and precise. Extraordinary. IWC 2019 Gold
Sheltered from oceanic influence by the Vosges Mountains, the Alsace wine region enjoys practically the lowest rainfall in France (only 400-500mm per year) and is blessed with a semi-continental climate, sunny, hotand dry. These optimal weather conditions, along with a nice and cool fall season, allow the grapes to ripen slowly and to develop an amazing complexity of aromas.
Overt Riesling character at once, with baked tertiary fruit. Evolving. A touch musky. Great balance at 90g/l RS. Not cloying, rather Tarte au Citron. Hugely persistent.
This winery makes Noble One - the top Oz sweetie for many years - so its no surprise that this cheeky half massively over-delivers on quality, winning many trophies for best value dessert wine. Loads of juicy tropical fruit.
A rich sweet wine with beautiful texture; exhibiting aromas and flavours of candied pineapple, mango, papaya, marmalade & spice.
Ripe Muscat Blanc grapes are harvested at high sugar levels, fortified with neutral grape spirit to preserve the natural flavours and sugars without any fermentation. This very stable sweet wine can be aged for many decades under ideal cellaring conditions and will become richer and more concentrated over time.
Pale, bright topaz colour with a golden tinge, fresh with dry fruit, wood and citrus flavours with a fresh and nutty persistent finish. Excellent as an aperitif but is also exceedingly good with flambees, dried fruits and spicy cheeses
A port style wine, red purple colour of medium intensity, with light brown hues due to its ageing. Immensely concentrated, ripe plums, black fruits, marmalade, dried figs and nuts with final spicy notes like cinnamon, toasted almonds and leather.
Red with violet tones, bright and very expressive. Red mature fruits like plum and cherry and black fruits like dry figs. A spicy aroma characteristic from the Malbec of Cafayate. Vainillas, chocolate and caramel aromas from the oak aging. Palate: with a sweet and harmonic entry and a balanced acidity. Firm tannins, long finish and persistence

Mahogany colour with greenish hues, a sign that this is a very old wine. Intense on the nose, with remarkable complexity and breadth, with layered aromas of wood from its ageing in barrel and notes of dried figs, snuff, white prunes and walnuts. The palate reveals the fullness of a great old port wine, with never-ending flavours that reveal how long it has aged in wood, such as spice and dried fruit, wrapped in fresher notes that culminate in a unique and endless finish.
A GENUINE ICON OF JEREZ. Dense, nutty, proper old-school sweet Oloroso.
Each wine (Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez) is matured, separately in its own solera for 12 years. Once blended together, the resulting sherry is returned to a 45-cask solera for a further 3 years aging. Its aging process recreates that of the wines which crossed the oceans in the 17th century voyages.
Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château de Fargues has a rich and intense bouquet with layers of honey, dried peach, beeswax and acacia that soar from the glass. The palate is powerful and authoritative: intense botrytis-rich honeyed fruit with compelling mineralité underneath. It fans out in glorious fashion a stunning de Fargues that is now beginning to show its talents. As I remarked a couple of years ago, just afford it a couple more years so that it can fully absorb the vestiges of oak. Drink 2018-2045.

Produced from beautiful organic Muscat grapes grown on a great schist terroir with a top-soil of schistous marl in the commune of Tautavel, facing south-east. The grapes are composed of 80% Muscat Petits Grains and 20% Muscat d'Alexandrie. Yields are very low at around 20 hl/ha.
A manual harvest takes place in the morning, when the grapes have an alcoholic potential of 14.5°/15°. Very long direct pressing, at low pressure, followed by coarse settling overnight in the open air. Fermentation takes place in vat, at a temperature of 20-23°C. It is stopped by mutage with certified organic neutral alcohol (representing a maximum of 10% of the final volume). Aging takes place on fine lees, in closed stainless steel vats, sheltered from oxidation.
This is the finest and freshest Muscat de Rivesaltes we've found. We are very happy to be shipping this great example from the finest of growers to the UK.
Dark red in colour with a fresh vibrant aroma of dark fruits which follows through on the palate along with an almost mineral character, a youthful wine with good extract and great balance, offering superb "drinkability".
Ready to drink now after a meal on its own or with soft cheeses.
Just a touch of maturity gives this some interesting layers of complexity. Remains fresh though - a lively aperitif served properly chilled.
I also forgot to mention the complexity here lies in one of the reserve wines being from 1964! They really are geniuses at blending historical wines
Very Limited presentation to commemorate Cambridge Wine Merchants' 30th Anniversary, presented in a cream and gold Ramos Pinto 30 Year Old branded box with exclusive CWM 30th Anniversary branding.
Amber coloured with orange and garnet tones. The delicate green highlights of the meniscus is characteristic of old cask-aged wines and illustrates the quality and advanced age of this fine port. This complex, perfectly balanced port shows rich aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. Agitate the glass and spice aromas of cinnamon and cocoa are liberated. In the mouth, the attack is fresh, fine and delicate. Ripe, dried fruit softly emerges with almond and hazelnut, culminating in vanilla flavours which linger gracefully on the palate. Appreciate this elegant Port at the close of a fine meal with good friends. It should be served at 15º- 19ºC.
Blended for consistency of character and quintessentially Fonseca in style, this reserve blend provides reliable and affordable value. Intense rich fruity nose, a smooth velvety texture, and juicy black fruit lingering into the rich luscious finish.
A fine Manzanilla that's powerfully aromatic. Fresh, with a salty tang, with plenty of acidity together with a very satisfying lemon twist to the finish. A natural Product with plenty of colour, weight and concentration.
