La Vigna si San Martino di Argiano
This wine is named after Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song". What further example of winemaker Giampaolo Chiettini's genius do you need? Immigrant Wine is a brilliant, curious Tuscan white IGT wine produced from Müller Thurgau grapes grown organically in a vineyard in the Vicchio di Mugello area at 370 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September which then see fermentation with their indigenous yeasts. A short breeding in steel vat on fine lees follows until the wine is bottled in the spring following the harvest. The wine is precise with good energy and a nice volume. Showing nice floral tones, some elderflower and herbal qualities wrapped up with a nice green apple bite. We have a quarter of the 480 bottle total production.

Sibiliana
From Sibiliana Vini, a brand new and very special wine, made with white Catarratto grape and turned into a wine with an orange colour. Orange wines are wines produced with white grapes, but vinified like red wines, with maceration (lasting from a few days to several months) of the must in contact with the skins and yeasts. This allows the wines to acquire substances which make them different from both whites and reds from a visual, olfactory and tactile point of view.

Domaine Danjou-Banessy
100% Carignan Gris that was raised in older barrels. It offers that classic cold steel-like character I always find in Carignan Gris, as well as plenty of citrus blossom, bright apple fruit - steely and penetrating. A real one-off. Utterly beautiful wine. This 2021 is simply thrilling, honey. Simply ELECTRIC! Buy now. That's the only advice you need.

Domaine Danjou-Banessy
Energy is a word used a lot by the finest Roussillon growers. We don't think there has been a finer example than this extraordinary wine from the freres Danjou. The 2020 is more 'Cote-Rotie' than the 'Crozes like' 2018. A thrilling wine.

Domaine Comelade
This is a lovely dessert wine with a bright, golden colour. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe apricot, honey, and orange blossom, along with hints of jasmine and citrus zest. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with flavours of candied citrus, stone fruit, and a touch of tropical fruit. The sweetness is well-balanced with a refreshing acidity that keeps the wine from being cloying. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving lingering notes of honey and apricot.

Domaines des Lampyres
Very rare indeed. A tiny amount for the UK. Ubuntu is organically grown 80% Grenache Gris and 20% Grenache Noir from schist soil over a bed of clay-limestone that sees skin macération and whole bunch fermentation for seven days. This fermenting juice is transferred and left to breed in amphora for five months. Bottled with a very low dose of sulphites, unfined and unfiltered. Amazing tension. This feels like a "light red wine" to us (albeit one with tension and real interest), so that's what we have called it. Amazing, and in limited quantities.

Domaine de la Renardiere
Lovely aromatics on the nose with notes of walnuts and hazelnuts, bruised apples, meadow flowers and hay. The palate is full-bodied and a bit buttery with pleasant acidity and minerality. Jean-Michel Petit and his wife set up Domaine de la Renardiere in 1992. The 7.5 hectares domaine is within Arbois-Pupillin and has been farmed with organic and biodynamic principals since its inception. It gained organic status in 2012. Their Savagnin Les Terrasses comes from grey/blue marl terroir and is made in a non-oxidative style. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrel with no racking and beautifully expresses this delicious, indigenous variety.

Marcello Pelleriti
James Suckling 94 Points A top blend from Marcello here. His wines are all natural, and we are delighted to have them back after an absence of a couple of years. This blend (2015 vintage) is produced from handpicked grapes which underwent a micro fermentation with natural yeasts prior to being aged in oak for 20 months. This is a seriously good wine, more savoury and elegant than fruit driven, with noticeable vanilla on the finish.

Vina Maquis
96 points Tim Atkin 95 Points Best Cabernet Franc from Chile Again, the cooler vintage seems to have favored the 2013 Franco, which came through as complex, compact, powerful and elegant. This time it's not a pure varietal, as it contains some 6% Cabernet Sauvignon in the final blend. This is a Cabernet Franc all about finesse but with enough power and character. It's very floral and exuberant, Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate, 28th Apr 2017

La Vigna di San Martino ad Argiano
Outstanding Vin Santo produced from half Trebbiano and half Malvasia trained to guyot and grown organically in San Casciano Val di Pesa, Argiano at an altitude of 300m. The grapes were hand-picked on September 20th 2017 and were placed on bamboo racks to dry for four months until they were gently pressed the following January and run off to ferment and breed on 110l 'Caratelli' barrels for the next five years. The wine was bottled in Febuary 2023. Only 436 37.5cl bottles were produced in total. The wine came out at 13.5 % abv with a residual sugar level of 290 g/l and a total acidity of 6.3 g/l. You know you are on to something special when Monica Larner of erobertparker.com writes of the wine "This is an extremely precious production of just 400 bottles (tiny 375-milliliter bottles), and I am honored to review this wine....an excellent and precious Vin Santo del Chianti Classico". We feel very honoured to have 60 of these truly wonderful little bottles to share with you.

Domaine des Trinités
This Syrah blend with soft black fruits and spice has been shaped by the sunbaked rocky soils of the unmistakable and very definate Faugeres terroir. A herbal, spicy bouquet is followed by youthful red cherries and supple mineral character derived from the schist rich soils. One of our greatest value wines.

Dom. des Lampyres
Francois Xavier AKA 'FX'. FX was vineyard manager for Tom Lubbe at Domaine Matassa for five years. He spent a further year with Domaine Danjou-Banessy. After such time this local lad set up in Espira to make his own wholly exciting wines. Whole bunch fermentation in stainless-steel tanks for 5 days for this beautiful Mourvedre from very old wines. On the morning of the 6th day the grapes were pressed, and the juice transferred back to stainless-steel tanks to complete fermentation. Only the naturally occurring indigenous yeasts were used in the fermentation. The wine was then aged 5 months in tank. Prior to bottling a very low dose of sulphites was added. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Vivid, bright and wild wine.

Dom. Gramiller
Fruit! Glorious fruit! Oh my, what a delicious wine made up of Alicante Bouschet 70% and Grenache Noir 30%. The very friendliest Alicante we have ever tasted. Dreamy, sweet blueberry and fresh blackberry fruit that is pleasingly aromatic, juicy, seamless that sits just right on the palate. Perfect for when you want the pleasures of gorgeous fruit with nice depth and presence but with a delightful lightness of touch because of the moderate alcohol (only 12% abv) and pleasingly light, soft tannin. Utterly great on its own or with lighter meat dishes. Wonderful and unique. "Rhonejolais", if you will.

Point Triple 2022: is a blend of co-fermented whole bunch Macabeu (schist) and Grenache Blanc (clay) seeing seven days skin macération together. After breeding, a portion of Muscat a Petit Grain (clay-limestone) that sees skin macération and whole bunch fermentation for twenty days, is blended with the other portion one month before bottling. This delightful, wild fermented, textural, insanely bright but savoury maceration wine comes in at a digestible 11% abv. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with a very low dose of sulphites.

Eva Fricke
Eva Fricke has once again made an absolutely stunning wine. The relative heat of the vintage has given the wine a ripe, complex flavour profile, yet under Evas watchful eye the wine retains its balance and freshness thanks to the naturally vibrant acidity. Aromas immediately burst out of the glass with impressive definition. Peach, nectarine, pear, lime and floral aromatics can all be perceived with delightful clarity. There is a slight spritz on the palate, however the wine has a weight to it that comes from the concentration of fruit. The wine has no residual sugar, but the ripeness of the fruit continues to linger tantalisingly on the palate before the mouthwatering acidity washes through.

Fruit from La Morra and Monforte Barolo sub-regions, vines 20-50 yeas old. Organic, environmentally friendly, super-low sulphur. Altare is a star of Piedmont, their style lipid, pure and honest. Domaine Danjou-Banessy
Natural, biodynamic and vegan. Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre from 80 year old vines, Made without filtering or fining. Pale but gorgeous mid red colour. At first on the nose, you are like "What even is that?". Whatever it is, you know that you like it. Elegant, subtle fruit is intermixed with gentle herb, earth and savoury characters. Deep and wonderful. On the palate the wine is elegant and deep again, but not heavy in the slightest. Ruffled fruit and savoury notes with minerality and real finesse. These wines are like no other from the Roussillon. Outstanding.

Domaine Vendome
From a breathtaking 0.5 hectare site on Chaban at 400+ metres altitude that was passed on to the Roudier family by the retiring Jean-Marie Teysseire, a legendary figure in Cornas and Saint-Peray. The Syrah vines are 80++ yrs of age on granitic soils including a portion of the mineral baryte, a clear crystal/quartz looking mark that gives the wine its mysterious sounding name. The vines are deeply established on this steep hillside, cut into terraces and oriented East/South-East. An utterly beautiful, natural granite amphitheater that protects the vines from the cold winds. Beautiful Syrah expresses all its power and finesse on this wonderful Cornas terroir. The debut vintage of this full-bodied terroir wine - which doesn't initially appear to be representative of the "Northern Rhone 2021" vintage - spring frost, harvest rain affected. But from what we have tasted, Cornas in general appears little affected, likely due to the elevation of the vineyards and the gradients of the slopes. So watch out for sleeping Cornas bargains like this from 2021. The wine has a fairly classic Cornas nose, on the palate it is voluminous, lush and suave but fresh and balanced with real tension and energy. The wine is pure and very long. All the fruit destemmed, no oak breeding (all in stainless steel) with a four week maceration. A true terroir wine from a great Cornas site. This 2021 is very impressive now and shall reveal its elegance and finesse over the coming years. What a wine!

Guy Vanlanker's best cuvée (and still under £20 - one of the best wines in the Languedoc!) from low yielding Syrah and Grenache vines. 24 months in old oak gives the wine time to shed its tannic cloak. This is a wine of power, elegance and depth, a real Grand Cru of the region.

Marcelo Pelleriti
Marcello Pelleriti is one of the leading lights of Argentinian wine making. He trained under the legendary Michel Rolland in Bordeaux and every September and October migrates to France where he is winemaker of Chateau Violette and Chateau Le Gay. It was making wine under the Chateau Violette name that lead to him being the first Argentinian to receive 100pts from wine critic Robert Parker. Deep and complex, theres notes of red fruits, black fruits, spice and floral notes- think plum, sweet spices and violet. A delicate wine on the palate, with round tannins. Elegant and persistent. Perfect pairing for lamb shanks or grilled steaks. Classic pairings you cant go wrong with!

The Gianetto vineyard is next to Cerretta. It was never bottled before using the vineyard name as it was added to famous brands, like Prunotto, as fruit and wine from here in Serralunga was always an important part of Barolo. Garesio have the best part of the vineyard, east facing, bathed by the morning 'sori', between 270 and 310 metres above sea level. It shows a bit more power that the Cerretta bottling. It's a beautiful wine and also a stunning value. Walter Speller on jancisrobinson.com "Perfect amalgam of red fruit and oak. Tightly knit red-fruit palate with great depth and real energy. Cool, long red-fruit finish with finely coating tannins". 17+/20

Vina Maquis
92 Points James Suckling, 92 Points Robert Parker Maquis Lien is a hand-crafted blend, resulting in a distinctive wine that reflects the special plot of land the Hurtado family owns in the Colchauga Valley in Chile. The vineyards and winery are located at the confluence of two historic rivers, which brought down sediments from the Andes that established the vineyard's alluvial soils. The same river canyons channel cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean, contributing to the wine's rich fruit character. The nose is very harmonious and the varieties feel very integrated; the Carménère does not dominate the aromas and is nicely blended with the others. There is an extra spark of freshness here along with more restraint and seriousness. A red blend of finesse.
