Deutz
Deutz Brut Vintage is created in only the best years when a vintage is declared. The wines are blended from the finest crus and age at least three years on the lees, one year more than required, in order to develop a rich bouquet and flavour. 2014 is a vintage to look out for. Delicious, forward, moreish.

La Taille aux Loups
Triple Zero is the cuvee that used to be Jacky's standard Petillant Naturel. The title refers to the fact this sparkling cuvee is not chaptalised, dosed, and contains no residual sugar. Essentially it is as pure as fizzy Chenin gets, taut, finely-tuned, intense floral flavours of citrus, minerals, white peach and apple blossom, overlaying a creamy, supple texture. Justerini & Brooks.

Flint Vineyard
This is possibly Flint Vineyard’s pinkest and fruitiest Charmat Rosé to date, and, for the first time, the blend includes a portion of Pinot Noir and Bacchus. This release is bursting with confected strawberries and cream. But it’s not just all fruit, there is a slight praline nuttiness in the background, which gives the wine some complexity. On the palate it is crisp and bursting with red fruits. Very drinkable as an aperitif and perfect for celebrations. A really lovely British drop playing the Italians at their own game. Well done, Flint.

Pierre Bertrand
This 2015 is a fantastic vintage, with its equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The nose is delicate, subtle, powdered with pastry tones. On the palate, the attack is somewhat lively, with beautiful bitter notes that gradually melt. Serve as an aperitif or with poultry and game.

M 3.0 Le Mauzac is a traditional method sparkling wine with no added sugar at any of the 3 stages of production. The only thing fermented and added (twice more) is organic Mauzac juice. This cuvée is without doubt the finest representation of Limoux's indigenous grape variety. First planted by the Romans, it is particularly well adapted to the climate and requires much less water than Chardonnay. This pure Mauzac has been aged for 36 months in bottle, then disgorged. It is a particularly impressive and very elegant take with fine, persistent bubbles. A real 'wow' that you NEED to know about. "A remarkable balance is revealed on the palate between a full, mellow body, fine tension and the freshness of the fruit, with the added bonus of a long finish of green apples that is the hallmark of Mauzac." Two Stars in Guide Hachette 2025

Flint Vineyard
Bright, fresh and fruit-driven, made with a blend of sustainably grown, aromatic varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardnnay and Pinot Blanc, that require minimal intervention in the vineyard. The grapes were pressed under nitrogen to retain their delicate flavours, with a proportion fermented in neutral oak to add complexity. Secondary fermentation was completed in tank, making it one of the first of its kind produced in England.

Deutz
"This lovely vintage Champagne from Deutz has everything you’d want in a fine glass of fizz, with candied citrus, peach and pineapple, a touch of honey, cappuccino froth and freshly-baked biscuit, while proving zesty and chalky too, making for a full-flavoured form of refreshment." Patrick Schmitt (MW) The year 2015 was marked by exceptional heat and drought in Champagne, creating ideal conditions for healthy vine growth. The rainy period in August favoured the rapid ripening of the grapes, which reached an exceptional quality. It has spent 9 years on the less, disgorged March 2024. It is limited to 60 bottles for the UK.

Lanzerac
We are big fans of this rich and tasty Blanc de Blancs, which has biscuity notes that give texture to the lively citrus and apple fruit whilst the tiny bubbles are like beads of sunshine dancing on your tongue. An elegant and refined MCC with an array of fine, precise bubbles on the mousse and a yeasty undercurrent on the palate.

Louis Roederer
Intense, concentrated bouquet of yellow fruit (white peach, mirabelle plum) combined with a delicious concentrated toastiness in the form of roasted hazelnut and almond aromas. Almond, wheat and sweet pollen notes from the Chardonnay with the juicy red fruit of the Pinot noir. Concentrated, energetic and vibrant on the palate with soft flavors of candied citrus and iodised spices. The salivating finish is underpinned by slightly oaky, sappy and saline notes. 2015 is remembered for its classic growth cycle. The particularly mild winter gave way to a varied spring with a period of freezing temperatures followed by intense heat. The vines reached full bloom at the usual times, during a sunny and dry month of June. It was a glorious summer with plenty of sunshine and little rain. The ripening of the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays was given a boost at the end of August by some long-awaited rainfall. The crops were harvested in mid-September under the cool autumnal skies, giving rise to elegant, fresh and fruity wines, worthy of labelling as true “classics”.

Domaine du Landreau
Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay make up the blend of this exceptional sparkling white wine. As the owners of Raymond Morin say, the grapes of Loire Valley are ideally suited to 'take the bubble'. Made in the traditional method by secondary fermentation in bottle and aged on lees for three years minimum, this is a remarkably good value wine. Fruity aromas from the Cabernet Franc, body from the Chardonnay, and persistent acidity from the Chenin Blanc. What more could you want? There’s a clear reason why it’s our ‘preference’ at CWM.

Giffords Hall
This Classic Cuvée from Suffolk-based Gifford's Hall is made using the traditional Champagne method and grapes. Hand-selected Pinot Noir (Burgundy clone) and Pinot Blanc make up this vintage, with the base wines barrel fermented in French Limousin oak. "Pinot Blanc really showing what it can deliver. Serious stuff for warming Suffolk" —Oz Clarke, Three Wine Men. This award winning Classic Cuvee is crafted with a dedication to tradition, where each bottle is a testament to patience, precision, and the elegance of English terroir. Hand-harvested from vines that flourish in a cool climate, this refined Cuvée blends Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, achieving an elegant and refreshing sparkling wine. Aged gracefully on the lees for an extended period, Classic Cuveé offers a delicate mousse and a golden, radiant hue. The nose reveals hints of crisp pears and white blossom, subtle notes of toast and biscuits and a whisper of citrus zest. On the palate, the wine demonstrates vibrant acidity, evolving into a creamy texture that carries flavours of orchard fruits, lemon, and a touch of minerality—culminating in a clean, lingering finish

Showcasing the D.O.’s three classic varieties (Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada), this Cava is balanced and elegant. Complex, with spiced, baked apples, yeasty bread-roll notes, very fine bubbles on the palate and excellent length on the finish. Another stunning cava from Roger Goulart.

Louis Roederer
The bouquet is open and rich yet also wonderfully fresh. It offers an explosion of ripe, delicate fruit with intense notes of mirabelle plum from the Pinot noir, complemented by sweet lemon meringue pie and delicate notes of jasmine from the Chardonnay. The nose opens up to reveal autolytic characters and evolves towards smoky, roasted notes and freshly baked pastries. The palate is deep and dense with a big, well-structured backbone. The texture is simply mesmerising with its fleshy mouthfeel from the Pinot Noir that coats the palate before giving way to an incredible saline freshness with a pleasant hint of bitterness. This wine combines the strength, intensity and power of the delectably ripe Pinot Noirs which are balanced to perfection by the chalky freshness and density from the Chardonnay which forms the majority of the blend. This 244th blend from the Louis Roederer Champagne House is based on the finest successes of the 2019 harvest, a year of record-breaking temperatures brought by particularly intense heat waves. Dry and continental and of magnificent maturity, this year gave us wines that were dense and fresh, with a masterful balance, conducive to bringing out the powerful and luscious Collection character in the blend.

Antech
Sixth generation Francoise Antech has taken this excellent producer to even greater heights, championing the Limoux region and Mauzac grape variety around the globe. The UK is the family's largest market , now looked after by seventh generation Baptiste. This is the first priced wine in a range of their Blanquettes and Cremants that we recommend.
