Very intense and fruity nose, slightly acid fruit freshness.
Acidulous mouth in attack bringing freshness and vivacity. Aromas evolve during the tasting: from the typical green taste of wild strawberries to the very ripe fruit taste characteristic of jam and marmalades.
Very pleasant end of the mouth.
You would not think it to see it now, but Ardbeg had a difficult time of it for much of the 20th century. The distillery was bought in a joint venture between Hiram Walker and DCL in 1959, both intending to supply their blends.
The subsequent years were very successful, but DCL backed out in 1979 (closing many of their other distilleries a few years later), and Hiram Walker then struggled in the 1980s era oversupply when interest is blended Scotch was waning. They closed it down for the majority of the decade. It re-opened briefly in the 1990s before being revived for good by Glenmorangie plc in 1997.
This whisky was distilled on 20th February 2013 and aged in single second-fill ex-Manzanilla butt #247.
It was bottled at cask strength on 9th September 2021.

Soft oak and vanilla notes giving way to a full-bodied palate with well-structured, elegant hints of orange crème brûlée and hazelnuts notes. Sweet and spicy wood comes first followed by candied fruit and caramel. Complex and persistent finish.
Light spice and typical Jamaican notes on the nose with a hint of overripe banana. The powerful palate has a good balance of oak and lighter tropical fruit. A touch of green banana, black pepper and light salty notes on the finish.

A richly sherried, indulgent Irish whiskey, drawn from a small selection of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Pajarete casks and encompassing Pot Still, Grain and Malt components. An excellent exposition of the blending tradition that defined Ireland's whiskey heyday.
Aroma : A pungent burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee, with Ardbeg’s classic fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires mix with herbal and fruity (banana & tropical) notes, along with fragrant candle wax.
Taste : An extremely vibrant, hot peppery mouthfeel, leads in to a burst of sherbet lemon sweetness (candied apples, pears & oranges), hints of carbolic soap and tar, more creamytoffee, aniseedand chilli pepper.
Finish : A long, mellow, lingering aftertaste, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes. An elegant, soothing style of Ardbeg.
Something very unusual here - a Manuka wood smoked New Zealand single malt! We were blown away when we tried this. It's properly savoury, with layers of complexity involving notes of bonfire smoke, lemon zest, roasted pineapple and toasted almond. A novel, and brilliant, Islay alternative.
Nothing about this whisky is typical - it's Finnish and made with malted rye. It defies comparison, intriguing the palate with a certain earthy savouriness and a grassy edge. Matured in new American oak like most American rye whiskey, giving it familiar notes of caramel and vanilla - but that's where the similarity ends.
'The Beast of Dufftown', as Mortlach is known, is presented here at 57.1% ABV without chillfiltration after being drawn from a handful of second-fill Oloroso sherry butts. We think this presentation perfectly matches the robust, meaty character of this 2.81 times distilled single malt, which is full of sweet sherry and toffee flavours.
It was created using botanicals that were foraged locally in the spring and summer of 2021 in a bid to capture the essence of the shifting English seasons. Billed as a “collector’s item”
The gin was distilled using the company’s novo-dimensional distillation system, in which nine variables including temperature, pressure and time can be adjusted for the distillation of each botanical. These separate distillates are then blended together to create the final spirit.
With botanicals include lemon balm, hawthorn blossom, nettles and cow parsley flowers, Cambridge Distillery says the gin is elegant with citrus and herbaceous notes. It recommends serving chilled, over ice, or in an extra-dry martini.
This is a 12 year old unpeated expression of Arran Single Malt. It was initially matured for 6 years in first and second fill bourbon barrels and then transferred to first fill Spanish red wine casks and matured in our dunnage warehouse number .

Nose: Bright with caramelised fruit and hazelnuts. Slight note of salted caramel and zesty grapefruit rind.
Palate: Full bodied and plenty of complex mouthfeel. Oak forward with dark red berries and creamy vanilla. A little ginger, sweet spice and aniseed.
Finish: Long, complex and mouthwatering. Vanilla and toasted oak lingers with a real sweet candy side. Delightful!
A small batch of four standard barrels from Glencadam Distillery have been used to create this Highland Single Malt, distilled in 2011 and aged for eleven years. Very distinctively oily, with touches of extra virgin olive oil, sweet briar wood, aromatic herbs (coriander & sage) and a suggestion of smoked lemon peel. A splash of water releases more oiliness, like linseed oil, a gentle waxiness, and a burst of perfumed, aromatic carbolic soap, and finally, a whiff of crème brulee
TASTE:
A soft, oily, mouthcoating texture leads into a rich, sweet, smoky palate, with hints of oak moss, treacle, aniseed lozenges and a lovely, sweet, woody/balsamic flavour. This is then followed by smoked apricots and eucalyptus oil
Finally comes a lingering, sweet/smoky aftertaste, with a touch of cumin, cardamon and the merest hint of coconut
Palo Cortado is a rare and highly prized style of Sherry from the Jerez region of Spain. This type of Sherry cask is sought after for maturing whisky as it imparts a complex balance of nutty dryness, caramelised sweetness and oxidative depth as well as adding a nuance Sherry influence to the spirit character. We have aged our Lagg Single Malt initially in Bourbon Barrels before transferring it into ex-Palo Cortado Sherry casks for 6 months. We then bottled at 56.2% Vol without chill filtration or added colour.
Colour: Warm gold with amber reflections.
Nose: Peach and white grapes. Hints of vanilla, almonds and a touch of smoke.
Palate: Rich mouth feel, very oily with a lingering orange essential oil. Citrus, with baking spices like ginger and cinnamon.
Finish: Medium length finish. Lots and lots of orange and ginger. Subtle smoke takes over with a dry ashy finish.
This whisky displays vibrant notes of banana, mango and papaya along with biscuity malt character and baking spices. On the palate there is a pronounced richness with notes of chocolate, coffee and cinnamon before finishing with a hint of stone fruit and black pepper.
The award-winning whisky underwent an initial 16-year maturation in ex-bourbon casks, followed by an additional 2 years of finishing in premium sherry casks, imparting delightful sweet and fruity characteristics to the spirit. Staying true to the Tobermory Distillery tradition, this whisky is non-chillfiltered and retains its natural color. It's bottled at 46.3% ABV and occupies a place in the Ledaig (peated whisky) core range, alongside Ledaig 10-Year-Old and Ledaig Sinclair Series: Rioja Cask Finish. Ledaig 18 is an island whisky characterized by its smoky profile. It skillfully combines the enticing notes of sweetness and florals with the depth and warmth of sea salt and smoke, creating a harmonious and complex flavor profile.

Nose: Rich, fruity sherried smokiness, lovely balance of phenols, seaweed and light creosote, dried chilli flakes, spicy black pepper with hints of sweet oakiness.
Palate: Powerful rich, sherried, herbal smoky flavours, orange peel, coffee, a touch of sea salt, tobacco and white pepper.
Finish: Long and quite pungent with more smoke, a hint of liquorice and sea spray
The ideal after-dinner whisky. This Port Cask Finish expression from Arran is a delicious and complex single malt from the Lochranza-based distillery. Initially aged in oak casks for a period of eight years, before enjoying a second maturation in artisan port casks, this bottling sees the richness of the fortified wine marry perfectly with Arran’s signature citrus and cereal style. The decision to bottle at 50% has added more depth, body and flavour.
