This wine is available to order En Primeur. When you order wines En Primeur you buy wines that are as yet not available for physical delivery but are available for purchase. They are sold without Excise and VAT taxes and an invoice is issued soon after order, for payment. Excise and VAT may become payable when the wine physically arrives in the UK. When the wines are shipped to the UK they can either be transferred, under bond, to an account in a Bonded warehouse or delivered duty paid. For Under Bond deliveries. Please indicate by return if you wish the wine to remain under bond and before the wine arrives provide details of the bonded warehouse address and the account you would like it held under. A charge for the under bond transfer will be made at the time of delivery, and varies from Bond to Bond. For Duty Paid Deliveries. All prices exclude HM Excise, Customs and VAT. Current Excise rates are £13.39 per 4.5 litre case (equivalent to 6x75cl), Customs are Zero and VAT is currently charged at 20%. These taxes are liable to change, and will be charged at the prevailing rate when the goods are shipped and delivered. At that time, a refund will be issued for the value of the amount paid En Primeur and a new VAT invoice issued, including a charge for onward delivery. Only the balance of the two will be payable on delivery. Contact orders@cambridgewine.com with any further enquiry.

Vega Sicilia
2013 is a subtle, elegant, fresh, vertical, complex, silky, and well-defined vintage. This wine is a true paradox, enjoyable to drink now, but timeless when allowed to age in bottle. The rainy end to the harvest left its imprint on the wine from this vintage. 2013 was a year to spend time in the vineyard, tend to it with care, and not rest on your laurels during harvest. A more elegant, subtle, and complex profile. The grapes are harvested from the 40 hectares used to produce Unico, a wine that ages at least ten years between barrel and bottle, representing one of the world's longest ageing processes. For the first phase, we used 225-litre French and American oak barrels to start to structure the wine; the second phase involved using 22,000-litre wooden vats. A long, complex, yet wonderful wine construction, during which they obtain endless nuances, definition, texture, and depth over time. This incredible terroir and the unique ageing process make our wines timeless when they aged.

Fonseca
Located on the steep right bank of the Távora River, Panascal is one of the most highly reputed vineyards in the Douro Valley. In the words of a local saying, 'From Roncão and Panascal come the finest wines of Portugal'. The wines of Quinta do Panascal are rich, with voluptuous fruitiness, mouth filling density and a velvety texture. A fat, plump, luscious wine. Full of rounded, ripe jammy fruit aromas. Almost warm 'marmalada' like note to the nose. The ripeness and richness of fruit is reinforced in the mouth with flavours of plump, bursting plums and cherries. Great notes of tobacco, smoky tea (lapsang) and spice. A warm, velvety, satiny wine.

Calera
Showcasing the vibrant charm of Chardonnay grown on the cool, windswept Central Coast, this wine displays enticing aromas of lemon zest, green apple, cedar and passionfruit. On the palate, mouthcoating waves of tropical fruit are balanced by a beam of natural acidity, with French oak-inspired hints of toasted brioche emerging on the finish. Calera’s wines truly express the sense of place. Rather than follow the recommended path, Josh Jensen became a pioneer in search of the perfect spot on the globe to grow grapes. Taking his cue from the great domaines of Burgundy which have grown grapes in limestone soil for centuries, he set out in search of the perfect spot in California to create wines unique to the world but in the style of the greatest wines of France. Site selection was vital as he ventured off the grid to plant on the site of an old limekiln in the Gavilan Mountains of California. Today Calera wines still express that pioneer spirit and are revered the world over.

Delas Freres
94 points "One of the gems in the vintage is the 2013 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes." Wine Advocate 18 points "Very glossy layered and magnificent...it’s a pretty magnificent wine." Jancis Robinson Another phenomenal wine from Delas as the critics’ assessments show. The Domaine des Tourettes Hermitage 2013 is pure Syrah from three different terroirs - L’Ermite Le Sabot and Les Bessards - aged for 18 months. Open it a couple of hours before you want to drink it to let it breathe and maybe consider grabbing two because as Wine Advocate warns it will "have three decades of longevity". Full-bodied and deeply intense it’s packed with blackberries blueberries black pepper black olive smoke and something that can only be compared to chasing a wild boar through the undergrowth on a hot day while dressed head-to-toe in leather. Pair this magical and otherworldly wine with cumin-spiced lamb mapo tofu tapenade Chinese barbeque flavours and spicy stews.

Au Bon Climat
Strawberries and blackberries aromas slowly rise out of the glass. Overtime, more of the anise and clove will mix with these other aromas. Currently, the wine is young with mouth filling intensity and suppleness. Complexity will increase as the wine ages, but this wine should stay “fresh” for 6 or 7 years. In its youth, match this wine with lamb or dried meats. After a few years, as the flavors coalesce, it will pair better with salmon or mild red sauce with pasta.

Remi Jeanniard
Remi Jeanniard is a hands on grower working just over 7 hectares of vines in and around Morey-St Denis. When asked who helps him at harvest time, the answer is simple: he does. The vines are much older than average, with all of his Vieilles Vignes village bottlings being at least 50 years old. This gives a natural concentration to the wines which are both well structured and elegant. Remi is a firm believer that wines are made in the vineyard and this shows through in the pure, concentrated style of the wines and the cautious use of new oak. Remi practices partial whole bunch fermentation, keeping 20% of the stems for Villages wines, 30% for 1er Cru wines, and 50% for Grand Cru.

Benjamin de Rothschild & Vega Sicilia
Macán emerged from the bowels of La Rioja. A wine of yesteryear and today that respects the most authentic and typical style of a prestigious region. A wine that searches for harmony by turning to its roots. The nature of its origins gives it a special elegance, a lingering mark, wrapping it in an unforgettable balance of sensitivity and expressivity. Red wine wholly made using the Tempranillo variety. After the alcoholic fermentation, the malolactic process is carried out in barrels and in tanks. The ageing takes place in extrafine and fine grain French wood, the majority in new barrels and the rest in one-wine barrels. It remains in wood for 15 months.

Breitenbach
A rare Tokaji from the small Breitenbach estate. Rich, waxy, honied, buttery. Hugely compex, with layers of flavour that linger for minutes. Delicious on it's own, but also a beautiful match to balanced desserts or rich cheeses. Founded in 2006 the Breitenbach winery is nestled in the heart of Hungary's Tokaji wine region. With just 6 hectares of 40-80 year old vines their focus is on the native grapes Furmint and Hárslevel?. Viticulture is done by hand and the mission is quality not quantity which is evident in their wines.

Peter Lehman
The grapes were picked early and cold-fermented in stainless steel for two weeks to retain fruit delicacy. Only free-run juice was used. Following a three week fermentation period, the wine was clarified and bottled before being cellared at the winery for five years prior to release. While bottle ageing in the Tanunda cellars, the wine has developed an attractive bright straw colour. Aromas of lemon curd, lime rind and honey are evident on the complex nose and are complemented by hints of lanolin and beeswax on a soft rounded mid-palate that superbly balances this lively, zesty wine.

Domaine Bachey-Legros
Really delightful wine from a top vineyard site in Santenay village, made from very old vines. Santenay is a bit tucked away from the better known Burgundy villages and the wines are well worth checking out. We think Sam and Lenaic Legros make the best red Santenay of all the producers, picking late and making heady, dark and voluptuous wines that put a smile on your face. Top class Pinot Noir that lovers of good Burgundy will like but also people who like New World Pinots too.

Masseria Setteporte is located in a very unique place: on the south-western slope of the volcano Mount Etna, in the town of Biancavilla,. Here, viticulture dates back to ancient times. The Portale family, owners of Masseria Setteporte, have passed their winemaking tradition down through generations.. Due to the volcanic soil, the high altitudes and the typical Mediterranean climate, the wines produced on the southern slope of Etna are unique in their elegance and have an inviting aroma profile as well as superb drinkability.

Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou
As of 2019, the former Lalande-Borie wine is now Le Petit Ducru, a third wine of the wonderful Ch Ducru-Beaucaillou in Saint-Julien. Le Petit Ducru is from young vines because so much of the former Lalande-Borie site is being replanted, but still shows both austerity and power, with crunchy bright fruit, and is extremely good quality. Gourmet edging with chocolate shavings and black pepper spice, the tannins are fine but they close in more strongly on the finish.

R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia
Vina Tondonia Blanco is one of Spain's most extraordinary and distinctive white wines. Produced from 90% Viura and 10% Malvasia Riojana then aged six years in cask and another six years in bottle before release. The wine is incredibly complex, with notes of beeswax, white currant, and saddle leather. The palate is dense and textured but always has the zest of acidity, which frames this wine for its long ageing potential.

A delicious Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy's lesser known but fantastic appellations - Maranges. The vines for this wine date back to 1945 and create a wine that is concentrated with a deep, rich colour and wonderful expressive fruit flavours. The grapes are allowed to ripen to maturity before harvest to obtain the softest possible tannins. Drinking superbly now and can also age for many years to come. Perfect with turkey, game and even beef.

Manually harvested in mid-September from all the company's organic vineyards, the Sangiovese from Rabizza and the Lago, the Canaiolo from Vertigne and the Malvasia Nera from Tombolo. The grapes are carefully destemmed and wild fermentation takes place with the grapes natural yeasts. Not only is the magnificent Gigondas estate 500 years old, it's owned by Daniel and Frédéric Brunier. Know the name? They are behind Châteauneuf's leading estate, Vieux Télégraphe. Meting out the same care, they produce this rich, old-vine Gigondas. And Daniel reckons that 2019 is his best vintage to date. A perfectly balanced wine, finely poised and with great length.

Chapel Down
From an exceptional south-facing single vineyard set high on the North Downs. Without question the best still English wine I have tasted. It’s mouth-fillingly fine with rounded, supple peach-like fruit and an ever so slightly toasty, vanilla finish thanks to nine months in French oak. If you like serious white Burgundy or Chablis, you’ll love this.

This Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc offers complexity of texture and a mineral drive that summons river stones and sea spray. Blackcurrant, guava and passionfruit are captured alongside the subtlest hint of oyster-shell. This wine is focused and explosive on both nose and palate yet remains elegantly balanced and distinctly saline.

Weingut Max Ferd.Richter
For our selection of dry/trocken Rieslings from Single Vineyards we source all single vineyard wines from "Premier Cru" and "Grand Cru" vineyards from old vines. Fermentation is exclusively done in traditonal Fuders (old oak-barrels) where wines are maintained on the lees until bottling. These wines perfectly show the terroir of the given vineyard site. The range starts with the classical Kabinetts, the archetypical wine of the Mosel-Region, showing lightness and freshness with an almost airy elegance. They are generally lower in alcohol and have higher acid levels. The next step up are the "Alte Reben" selections (Old Vines, Vieilles Vignes). These are harvested from the oldest vines of our Crus with at least 75 years of age. They are powerful with richer body and well balanced minerality. On the top of the pyramid you find the GGs (Großes Gewächs/Grand Cru/Grand Vin). These Rieslings are grown in the best and oldest parts of our Grand Cru vineyards. These wines are the perfect combination of deepth, concentration, minerality and utmost precison and elegance. The result is simply mesmerizing. The wine does have a slight bite but above all, it is beautifully airy, packed with intense and remarkably fresh flavors (not an easy task in a vintage with record heat in the summer). This is one of those dry Riesling which home in on the fact that Mosel now produces some of the finest dry Riesling in the whole of Germany. As usual, great wines is rarely produced in gigantic quantities and this is no different with this GG. But, believe us, every effort should be made to lay one’s hands on a few bottles of this divine juice

A vivid nose of deep florals: dark roses, violets, and an undertow of ripe red fruit. The palate really shows the best of each vineyard that makes up the cuvée. A pure but powerful drive of fruit on a perfect cusp of ripeness, with complexing notes of sandalwood and spice. This is all about harmony and balance with the transparency of fruit allowing the detail to shine through. Silken tannins finish the package. Domaine Danjou-Banessy
A blend of Genache Blanc, Gris and Noir, from ancient 90 year old vines in the ancient and quite amazing 'C|os des Escounils' that the brothers are developing and working on re-establishing it's other potential vineyard areas. This is beautiful, racy, elegant wine that is softly textured and very ‘modern’ in its freshness and balance.
