Chateau Liot
This wine is available to order En Primeur. When you order wines En Primeur you buy wines that are as yet not available for physical delivery but are available for purchase. They are sold without Excise and VAT taxes and an invoice is issued soon after order, for payment. Excise and VAT may become payable when the wine physically arrives in the UK. When a wine arrives in the UK is a matter of when it becomes available from the producer and when we are able to import it. Normally wines will be shipped 2-3 years after harvest, but it can take longer or less than that. When the wines are shipped to the UK they can either be transferred, under bond, to an account in a Bonded warehouse or delivered duty paid. For Under Bond deliveries. Please indicate by return if you wish the wine to remain under bond and before the wine arrives provide details of the bonded warehouse address and the account you would like it held under. A charge for the under bond transfer will be made at the time of delivery, and varies from Bond to Bond. For Duty Paid Deliveries. All prices exclude HM Excise, Customs and VAT. Current Excise rates are £13.39 per 4.5 litre case (equivalent to 6x75cl), Customs are Zero and VAT is currently charged at 20%. These taxes are liable to change, and will be charged at the prevailing rate when the goods are shipped and delivered. At that time, a refund will be issued for the value of the amount paid En Primeur and a new VAT invoice issued, including a charge for onward delivery. Only the balance of the two will be payable on delivery. Contact orders@cambridgewine.com with any further enquiry.

Domaine des Schistes
Produced from beautiful organic Muscat grapes grown on a great schist terroir with a top-soil of schistous marl in the commune of Tautavel, facing south-east. The grapes are composed of 80% Muscat Petits Grains and 20% Muscat d'Alexandrie. Yields are very low at around 20 hl/ha. A manual harvest takes place in the morning, when the grapes have an alcoholic potential of 14.5°/15°. Very long direct pressing, at low pressure, followed by coarse settling overnight in the open air. Fermentation takes place in vat, at a temperature of 20-23°C. It is stopped by mutage with certified organic neutral alcohol (representing a maximum of 10% of the final volume). Aging takes place on fine lees, in closed stainless steel vats, sheltered from oxidation. This is the finest and freshest Muscat de Rivesaltes we've found. We are very happy to be shipping this great example from the finest of growers to the UK.

Graham's
The 2018 vintage was challenging year in the Douro, with winter drought, heavy rain in spring and a summer heatwave presenting challenges. However, cooler weather during the harvest resulted in wines with balance and good acidity. Though yields were low, the quality was well-regarded. After five years in large oak vats in Graham’s Port Lodge in Porto, the wine was bottled. Tasting notes include: blackberry, blackcurrant, black plum, dried mint leaf, eucalyptus, liquorice, cocoa and white pepper. While the fortified wine within is in the classic Graham’s LBV style, the packaging has been revamped. The new bottle is 18% lighter than previous Graham’s LBV bottles, weighing 450 grams. The house previously launched its Six Grapes Reserve Ruby Port in the same, lighter bottle in a bid to reduce carbon emissions from shipping.

Vainillas, chocolate and caramel aromas from the oak aging. Palate: with a sweet and harmonic entry and a balanced acidity. Firm tannins, long finish and persistence

Taylor's
Taylors is accepted to be one of the greatest of all Port shippers, famous especially for its sublime and long-lived vintage Ports, which consistently fetch the highest prices at auction. This vintage port from their best vineyard site 'Terra Feita' , which like Vargellas, is an essential component of the Taylor’s Vintage Port blend. Quinta de Terra Feita is located on the west bank of the River Pinhão, and in certain years (such as 2005), when a Taylor’s Vintage is not declared, the best port wines of Terra Feita have traditionally been bottled as a ‘single Quinta’ vintage port. Absolutely delicious! Dark, sweet raisins that are so smooth; not an ounce of bite or sharpness. Far more complex than many an allegedly superior vintage Port, and an absolute bargain.

Ramos Pinto
Very Limited presentation to commemorate Cambridge Wine Merchants' 30th Anniversary, presented in a cream and gold Ramos Pinto 30 Year Old branded box with exclusive CWM 30th Anniversary branding. Amber coloured with orange and garnet tones. The delicate green highlights of the meniscus is characteristic of old cask-aged wines and illustrates the quality and advanced age of this fine port. This complex, perfectly balanced port shows rich aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. Agitate the glass and spice aromas of cinnamon and cocoa are liberated. In the mouth, the attack is fresh, fine and delicate. Ripe, dried fruit softly emerges with almond and hazelnut, culminating in vanilla flavours which linger gracefully on the palate. Appreciate this elegant Port at the close of a fine meal with good friends. It should be served at 15º- 19ºC.

Chateau Coutet
More classic Sauternes style. Rich stone fruits, a smoky backbone, and a syrupy finish. Declared a 1er Cur Classé at the 1855 Sauternes and Barsac Classification, Château Coutet has been producing wine since 1643. Boasting both the largest vineyard in Barsac (thirty-eight-and-a-half hectares) as well as the largest cellar (110 meters), Château Coutet has been owned by the Baly family since 1977 and managed by Aline Baly since 2009.

Croft
Attractive cassis nose with powerful, concentrated fruit aromas. Fresh, rich, firm and full of fruit including, dark berries and chocolate. A wine with good body, structure and length. Single Quinta wines need decanting as they are usually a decade old, and will throw a sediment as they age. Walnuts are an excellent accompaniment to Vintage Port, along with rich flavoured cheeses such as Silton and dried fruits.

Dom. Comelade
100% Grenache Noir, harvested from various vineyards in the Roussillon is then partially fermented and spirit added to create a port like red wine, but with softer tannins and lower alcohol 16%. Sweet, fruity and a joy with chocolate. "It smells a little like freshly polished, old teak and mahogany furniture in a huge room full of echoing ancient flagstone floors. But oh, oh, oh, the taste! Blackberry jam. Blackberry jam lavishly heaped on oh-so-slightly-burnt nutty, seedy, dark-rye bread. There is a scrape of tannins; they feel like a piece of broken pottery gently grazed across the tongue. But I keep coming back to that luscious swirl of pure, intensely blackberry fruit, that has seduced me to weak-kneed compliance". Tamlyn Currin on jancisrobinson.com 17.5/20 jancisrobinson.com

Domaine Comelade
Lionel Comelade produces this stunning wine from ancient vine Macabeu and Grenache Gris grown on amazing black and white schist soil vineyards between Estagel and Latour de France in the Roussillon. Both white grapes were harvested later in the season in 1990 with high sugar levels. The grapes were partially fermented in concrete vats and then neutral brandy was added to stop fermentation and keep natural sweetness in the wine. Then the wine was passed to second use oak barrels and left in the cellar for 32 years before bottling (to order). No ‘topping up’ of the barrels occurred in the 33 years. The wine is tremendous, possibly surpassing the 1988. It is ‘ambre’ in colour. A bright, wild nose with orange rind, orange oil and warm spices. The palate is thrilling with great complexity and depth with thrilling, wild acidity which really charms. Astonishing and quite unique. The wine is one of the best value fortified wines in the world. 33 years of age, so interesting and delicious. A steal at this price.

Ramos Pinto
Just a touch of maturity gives this some interesting layers of complexity. Remains fresh though - a lively aperitif served properly chilled. I also forgot to mention the complexity here lies in one of the reserve wines being from 1964! They really are geniuses at blending historical wines…

Montesquiou Freres
The Montesquiou family have been a source of Jurancon wines for generations, today it is run by brothers Sébastien and Fabrice who have raised the quality of the estate to a new level. The brothers employ many of the techniques of biodynamic viticulture so that no insecticides and herbicides are used. Superb value dessert wine. The vineayrds of Jurancon are blessed with a very dry autumn allowing grapes to be left on the vine well into November, by which time they have begun to dry, concentrating the sugars and the flavours, whilst retaining all of the bracing acidity which is the hallmark of Petit Manseng. The palate hits you with a mouthful of rich apricot and peach flavours, as well as significant sweetness from 120grams+ residual sugar. Still you have great acidity, length and richness. A joy and terrific value.
