Angsar Clusserath
Eva Clüsseraths Steinreich dances a tightrope between the refreshing energy of the entry-level Vom Schiefer Riesling and the dense-but-weightless complexity of the Cru wines. Delicious tension of driving acidity, almost-oily stone fruit and fierce minerality, sprinkled with the herbaceous zing of fresh lime juice. Profound but addictive stuff. In Trittenheim, along an impressive bend of the Mosel river, lies the centuries-old domain where Eva Clüsserath-Wittmann makes her delicate but precise white wines. The Clüsserath family has been in the wine business since 1670, but it is under Evas reign that their output has truly climbed the ranks of international esteem. All of these wines are marked by her loving care of the sometimes ancient slate-soil family vines and her exceedingly patient vinifications on old wooden Fuder.

Simple; very good grapes, very good winemaking. A complex nose, of peach, stone fruit, citrus and green apple. Touches of smoke and cedar, smatterings of vanilla from some new oak with a slight salty character. There are creamy notes from battonage once a week for a year. Goodness what a wine for the price!

Vilacetinho
Some fizz (relatively modest), low (10%) alcohol and a bit of sugar (only 5 grams per litre barely over the legal dry limit and rather low for this style). It is a blend of 40% Arinto, 20% Azal, 20% Avesso and 20% Loureiro. This is the winerys entry-level wine and it offers amazing value. Domaine Odyssee
Natural, organic Macabeu from a beautiful vineyard in Calce, Roussillon. Grown with great care and wildly fermented and aged in old oak barrels. Floral, racy and minerally with soft texture and generous apple and apricot fruit. Just lovely. Vincent Carreras has been working in wine industry for 13 years. For nine years he worked for a winery in the south of the Roussillon Andy Cooks Mas Cristine and Coume del Mas. Working in the vineyard, cellar and commercial activities the whole shebang! For four years now he has been employed by a family winery based in Maury - Clos des Vins d'Amour. Who work 25 hectares organically in the west of Roussillon. Mostly in commercial activities, but also working in the cellar. Alongside this, in 2016, Vincent started a new project - Domaine Odyssée. The 3.5ha of vineyards are in Calce and Baixas, in a heart of Roussillon. The sites are small, but unquestionably some of the most beautiful we have seen. Vincent draws on the experiences mentioned above and his time in New Zealand (2011), Argentina (2012) and Bordeaux 2011 to help fully realise what he has there in his exceptional terroir. Vincent works organically, using no weedkillers, no chemical products. He works by hand and with organic fertilizer (he is in conversion right now). He harvests his parcels by himself with friends and family. In the cellar, Vincents philosophy is a minimum of intervention To keep the fruit and the terroir. The wines are extracted gently with just a little pump over. No filtration, no fining. The only preservative is a little dose of sulphites in very low quantities at bottling It is important for me the stabilise the wine in respect of the future customers.

A beautifully balanced example of white Rioja that straddles the styles of the old and the new. Vibrant citrussy Viura is blended with the more weighty Malvasia and the brief barrel maturation adds a honeyed roundness to the crisp lemony fruit. Beautiful golden yellow colour with bright lemon-tinted reflections. Elegant, combining hints of flowers, fruits and hazelnuts. Dry, with just enough acidity to make it fresh and lively with a structured and tasty finish of ripe fruit.

Under Bond Orders When you buy wines Under Bond they can either be transferred, under bond, to an account in a Bonded warehouse or delivered duty paid. We will enquire by email whether you wish the wine to remain under bond or be delivered duty paid. For Under Bond deliveries. We will ask you to provide the details of the bonded warehouse address and the account you would like it held under. Excise and VAT taxes are not payable for wines transferred under bond. A charge for the transfer will be made at the time of delivery, and varies from Bond to Bond. We will let you know what that charge is in advance, when you confirm the address, and issue an invoice for the transfer charge. For Duty Paid Deliveries. We will ask for the delivery address by email. All Under Bond prices exclude HM Excise, Customs and VAT. Current Excise rates are £13.39 per 4.5 litre case (equivalent to 6x75cl), Customs are Zero and VAT is currently charged at 20%. These taxes are liable to change, and will be charged at the prevailing rate when the goods are removed from Bond. At that time, a new VAT invoice will be issued, including a charge for onward delivery. The balance between what has already been charge Under Bond and the new VAT invoice will be payable. N.B. Our website currently does not automatically charge for these additional costs and may even suggest that the wines qualify for Free National Delviery. Fontanassa
This is a richer, full bodied and more complex white wine with minerality and almonds. Tbh this wine is so special that its difficult to describe. Although its a heavier white, it can also taste light and even sometimes a little floral. Its contradictory. And thats why I love it. Serve it only lightly chilled. This is a heavier white so it can take on some heavier white meat dishes. But as Piemonte is the home of Risotto, we think a really simple cheese, pumpkin or saffron risotto is a great pairin Timorasso is one of Italys rarest grapes. Its only grown in a tiny area by a few winegrowers. Its spectacular, though. The Italians call it the White Barolo and you know how obsessed everyone is with Barolos.

Calera
Showcasing the vibrant charm of Chardonnay grown on the cool, windswept Central Coast, this wine displays enticing aromas of lemon zest, green apple, cedar and passionfruit. On the palate, mouthcoating waves of tropical fruit are balanced by a beam of natural acidity, with French oak-inspired hints of toasted brioche emerging on the finish. Caleras wines truly express the sense of place. Rather than follow the recommended path, Josh Jensen became a pioneer in search of the perfect spot on the globe to grow grapes. Taking his cue from the great domaines of Burgundy which have grown grapes in limestone soil for centuries, he set out in search of the perfect spot in California to create wines unique to the world but in the style of the greatest wines of France. Site selection was vital as he ventured off the grid to plant on the site of an old limekiln in the Gavilan Mountains of California. Today Calera wines still express that pioneer spirit and are revered the world over.

Lovely, modern style white Bordeaux, pale yellow colour with a hint of green. Open, fresh and greedy nose, with notes of passion fruit, boxwood and lime. Supple and crisp attack, with notes of exotic fruits and pomelo. Good balance, sapid. Crisp finish, with citrus fruit, medium persistence and a hint of minerality.

The name Vulcanico highlights the characther of this wine made from the vineyards near the Vulcano Vulture. From one of Californias top-rated vineyards, this outstanding Chardonnay displays fleshy brioche and ripe citrus flavours. Made in more of a Burgundian style rather than the big, rich, overly oaked examples that are becoming past fashionable.
