Domaine Danjou-Banessy
Natural, biodynamic and vegan. Grenache, Carignan and now (for the first time) Mourvedre from 80 year old vines, Made without filtering or fining. Pale but gorgeous mid red colour. At first on the nose, you are like "What even is that?". Whatever it is, you know that you like it. Elegant, subtle fruit is intermixed with gentle herb, earth and savoury charachters. Deep and wonderful. On the palate the wine is elegant and deep again, but not heavy in the slightest. Ruffled fruit and savoury notes with minerality and real finesse. These wines are like no other from the Roussillon. Outstanding.

Classic Valpolicella grapes of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella made using the ancient part-dried grape technique to achieve fuller body and smoother tannins. Lush like Amarone but bright, vital and snappy like Valpolicella, indeed it has that classic capsicum brightness. Heavy embossed bottles, looks great. Metro Magazine Top 50 Wines of 2019. This has a ripe bouquet with raspberry and redcurrant notes. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. It is a little austere at first, but seems to relax in the glass and turn in an agreeable structured finish with a gentle grip. This is the kind of Pinot Noir that will be enhanced at the dinner table.

A complex Beaujolais packed with alluring red-fruit and herbal elements that interplay across your palate in perfect harmony. Medium-intensity ruby in colour, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, fig, hay rhubarb, raspberry, red currant, violet, black tea, and hibiscus. On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Beaujolais has medium-plus-intensity, floral flavours suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a black-tea-infused, long finish. The midpalate sings, and you wont want the experience of enjoying this wine to end.

Vega Sicilia
210 of the almost 1,000 hectares on the Vega Sicilia estate are used for vine growing, which include 19 different types of soil and 64 plots with very specific characteristics. The influence of the course of the Douro river and time itself have played a key role in the notable use of these soils.The rainy end to the harvest left its imprint on the wine from this vintage. 2013 was a year to spend time in the vineyard, tend to it with care, and not rest on ones laurels during harvest. The result was more elegant, subtle, and complex profile.For the first phase of the ageing process, we used 225-litre French and American oak barrels to build structure in the wine; the second phase took place in 22,000-litre wooden vats.During this long, complex process, the wine gains endless nuance, definition, texture and depth. The incredible terroir and unique maturation process create wines of effortless ageing potential. Under Bond Orders When you buy wines Under Bond they can either be transferred, Under Bond, to an account in a Bonded Warehouse or delivered Duty Paid. We will enquire by email whether you wish the wine to remain under bond or be delivered duty paid. For Under Bond deliveries. We will ask you to provide the details of the bonded warehouse address and the account you would like it held under. Excise and VAT taxes are not payable for wines transferred under bond. A charge for the transfer will be made at the time of delivery, and varies from Bond to Bond. We will let you know what that charge is in advance, when you confirm the address, and issue an invoice for the transfer charge. For Duty Paid Deliveries. We will ask for the delivery address by email. All Under Bond prices exclude HM Excise, Customs and VAT. Current Excise rates are £13.39 per 4.5 litre case (equivalent to 6x75cl), Customs are Zero and VAT is currently charged at 20%. These taxes are liable to change, and will be charged at the prevailing rate when the goods are removed from Bond. A lovely wine from an artisan family winery producing wines in a natural style. The winery was built on a gravity feed system and uses pneumatic presses to extract only the best juice. They practice sustainable farming and winemaking. Very deep opaque ruby, red fruit on the nose and big legs sticking to the side of the glass. Soft and silky on the palate with red and black fruit flavours, and good palate cleansing acidity on the long finish.
