This lively little single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with vibrant zesty citrus fruit and a hint of exotic guava. Hugely refreshing, this crisp and aromatic wine is endlessly quaffable. Soft super-juicy ripe fruit and a long full-flavoured finish.

Both Organic and Fairtrade. The Sauvignon brings herbaceous and lime notes, and a zingy citrus acidity. The Chenin Blanc adds a fruity mid palate of stone fruit and guava.

This famed Famed 7th generation Chambertin family have a family branch in St-Romain. Classic, old school whites with little or no appreciable oak. The steely acidity that Saint-Romain is often famed for, forms an excellent backbone for this perfectly aged 2016 white. Its richer palate is refreshed by lemon zest acidity, alongside green apple and ripe nectarine with a touch of fragrant vanilla on the very end. A wonderful wine to enjoy now, whilst allowing time to breath and open in your glass over the course of an evening.

Las Condes Chardonnay has a fruity nose with a smokiness and fresh pineapple and banana fruit. On the palate the tropical fruit is met by a smooth, creamy mouth-feel and balancing acidity.

A soft and fruit-driven Chardonnay, with good balance and length, packed with stone fruit and melon flavours.

From a legendary New Zealand producer. Really pleasing nose. Straight up, classical, pure. Slightly smoky, but soft too. Creamy, sweet lemon, slightly pithy on the finish. Clean, simple, and pleasing.

Jamie Goode called Assyrtiko "Crete's answer to Chablis" and Wine & Spirits magazine have named it a 'best buy', awarding it 93 points. It's fragrant with wild aromas of meadow flower and yellow orchard fruit backed by a heavy dose of chalk minerality and green apple.

Lovely complex nose, with notes of exotic fruits (lychee, mango) and white pepper. The mouth is full and very long. This is a wine with good freshness from lingering acidity balanced with a touch of residual sugar on the finish.

Muscat a Petit Grain 50% and Muscat d;Alexandria 50% that spends one month in 'maceration' with its skins. Francois Xavier AKA 'FX'. FX worked with Tom Lubbe at Domaine Matassa for five years. He spent a further year with Domaine Danjou-Banessy. After such time this local lad set up in Espira to make his own wholly exciting wines which we are introducing the UK for the first time. Muscat a Petit Grain saw whole bunch maceration for one month in stainless steel vats. The Muscat d'Alexandria saw maceration for one month in clay amphora. after being destemmed. The juices were each pressed to breeding in 5hl barrels and 10hl amphora for 8 months. A wonderful, unique and very interesting wine. The only addition is 2 g/Hl of sulphites at bottling. Fermented with skins in an old open-topped wooden vat and aged in old oak and amphorae. No added sulphites. TA 4.5 g/l. Old-fashioned bottle (‘Burgunder Madeleine’) and jokey pictorial label. Very cloudy mid gold. Fabulous nose: intensely aromatic, lightly floral, apricot, orange, lime, dried grasses, the complexity of the blend and the winemaking working together. Intense freshness too, gentle grip, a touch of baked apple but not overly oxidative. You could drink this on its own, despite the firm tannin texture, or with food. Long, complex and mouth-watering, delicious. Full-throttle skin-fermented white yet fully harmonious, showing how well suited the aromatic varieties are to this style of winemaking, if handled with care and not overdone. Utterly refreshing but not in the least simple."

50% Grenache Blanc, 40% Clairette (planted 1950) from 0.9 hectare on very stony alluvial soils at Sablet and 10% Roussanne on Gramiller at La Montagnette at Rasteau. The wine sees ferment in 80% steel vat, 20% old oak cask. Then bred for 6 months. 2,500 bottles produced. The nose is all freshly cut juicy pears and gorgeous white flowers - so pretty, utterly charming. More fruit and flowers to the palate's silky juice. This is medium-bodied, elegant and long Southern Rhone white wine with fine acid. Really jolly drinking and great with delicate fish or simply as the classiest aperitif.

En Primeur Orders When you order wines En Primeur you buy wines that are as yet not available for physical delivery but are available for purchase. They are sold without Excise and VAT taxes and an invoice is issued soon after order, for payment. Excise and VAT may become payable when the wine physically arrives in the UK. When a wine arrives in the UK is a matter of when it becomes available from the producer and when we are able to import it. Normally wines will be shipped 2-3 years after harvest, but it can take longer or less than that. When the wines are shipped to the UK they can either be transferred, under bond, to an account in a Bonded warehouse or delivered duty paid. For Under Bond deliveries. Please indicate by return if you wish the wine to remain under bond and before the wine arrives provide details of the bonded warehouse address and the account you would like it held under. A charge for the under bond transfer will be made at the time of delivery, and varies from Bond to Bond. For Duty Paid Deliveries. All prices exclude HM Excise, Customs and VAT. Current Excise rates are £13.39 per 4.5 litre case (equivalent to 6x75cl), Customs are Zero and VAT is currently charged at 20%. These taxes are liable to change, and will be charged at the prevailing rate when the goods are shipped and delivered. Leaner, more austere on the nose. Very lively on the palate, almost sweet caramelised edge, high acid, good brightness. Very ripe, round, and unctuous. Vanillin finish. Tarte tatin. A bit much at the moment. Puppy fat. Lovely length though. Still plenty of opportunity.

Very pale golden yellow. Highly perfumed nose exhibiting tropical and white flower notes. A sweet wine unfurling a pronounced fruit sensation on the palate and delicate acidity on the finish. Drink well-chilled. Ideal as an aperitif.

Jean-Nicolas created this vineyard in 1989 from poor, stony ground atop the hill, behind the trees above Echezeaux. Around 5-10% is planted to Pinot Blanc; as the Chardonnay is particularly low yielding, the proportion in the wine is a little higher. There’s surprising weight and power, but it retains the fine, tight lines of freshness one expects.

Long-established star winery of Santa Barbara. Creamy vanilla, rich but all in balance. Impressive. Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is a beautiful example of the Au Bon Climat style. The flinty, stony aromas stand out while in the background is a hard spice note from “sur lie” barrel aging. There are notes of lemon-lime and soft vanilla.

A blend of Genache Blanc, Gris and Noir, from ancient 90 year old vines, this is beautiful, racy, elegant wine that is softly textured and very ‘modern’ in its freshness and balance.

A seductive combination of white nectarine, pink grapefruit and candied orange rind mingles with the more savoury aromas of roasted chestnuts and hot buttered brioche – an elaborate concoction infused with linseed and woodsmoke. The savouriness carries through onto a wonderfully dry palate that has great texture and concentration, with distinct flintiness, tight structure and terrific ageing potential.

This pale yellow wine with green tints has intense and expressive aromas of fresh fruit, such as grapefruit, green apple and pineapple, that intermingle with notes of white flowers, jasmine and orange blossom. On the palate, it is fresh and fruity with wellbalanced acidity and a pleasant finish.
