Domaine Odyssee
Natural, organic Macabeu from a beautiful vineyard in Calce, Roussillon blended 50/50 with Chenin Blanc from Aveyron in central France! The Chenin Blanc is from Vincent's friends at Coultades du Coustoubi. The '78' moniker comes from both postcodes being added together - 66 for Roussillon and 12 for Aveyron. The blend makes for a wine of great character with a precise, floral nose, a good body that has great tension with fine acidity. Really interesting and ultimately, hugely satisfying wine. Vincent Carreras has been working in wine industry for 13 years. For nine years he worked for a winery in the south of the Roussillon – Andy Cook’s Mas Cristine and Coume del Mas. Working in the vineyard, cellar and commercial activities – the whole shebang! For four years now he has been employed by a family winery based in Maury - Clos des Vins d'Amour. Who work 25 hectares organically in the west of Roussillon. Mostly in commercial activities, but also working in the cellar. Alongside this, in 2016, Vincent started a new project - Domaine Odyssée. The 3.5ha of vineyards are in Calce and Baixas, in a heart of Roussillon. The sites are small, but unquestionably some of the most beautiful we have seen. Vincent draws on the experiences mentioned above and his time in New Zealand (2011), Argentina (2012) and Bordeaux 2011 to help fully realise what he has there in his exceptional terroir. Vincent works organically, using no weedkillers, no chemical products. He works by hand and with organic fertilizer (he is in conversion right now). He harvests his parcels by himself with friends and family. In the cellar, Vincent’s philosophy is a minimum of intervention – “To keep the fruit and the terroir”. The wines are extracted gently with just a little pump over. No filtration, no fining. The only preservative is a little dose of sulphites in very low quantities at bottling “It is important for me the stabilise the wine in respect of the future customers”.

Domaine des Soulanes
A verry special wine from ancient plants of two of the rarest and very best vines for Soualnes terroir, Grenache Gris and Carignan Gris. This really does have everything. It's floral, honeyed orchard and citrus fruits added to its sumptuousness, its layers of texture and bright but not too spiky acidity. Very long with great balance and so much interest. Divine stuff that is here in tiny quantities. Published on decanter.com June 2022: Domaine des Soulanes, Vieilles Vignes Blanc, Côtes Catalanes, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2021 90/100 "A lovely, vivacious white, made from Grenache Gris and the rare Carignan Gris. The aromas are forward and pretty, delicately honeyed and floral, with some bruised apple and tangy lemon. I like how the wine feels really textural and pithy in the mouth, with a fresh, herbal acidity". Drinking Window 2022 - 2031

Doamine Talmard
The cheerful wines of the Mâconnais befit the sunny disposition of its gentle slopes, its warm terracotta rooftiles and the rhythmic chirping of cicadas on summer evenings. This is an excellent entry-point to white Burgundy: soft and rounded Chardonnay showing green apple, lemon oil and almond notes. Unoaked to let the purity of the fruit shine through. This has a strong affinity with roast chicken and turkey.

Henri Prudhon & Fils
Very attractive nose of white orchard fruit, pears even a hint of quince and a floral note. The same on the palate but with a sweet citrus note giving added juiciness. Subtle red apple fruit, full, perfectly balanced oak. Youthful but approachable right away. Fresh and vibrant, this is delicious, and great value!

Corinne & Thierry Drouin
This outstanding, estate-grown Chardonnay comes from a massive outcrop of limestone at the base of the iconic La Roche de Vergisson. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak demi-muids, this is the classic style of Macon with an unctuous and creamy texture, but displaying the wonderful only-in-Burgundy kind of mineral-driven acidity that keeps it extremely refreshing and adds a touch of class to proceedings. Notes of toasted hazelnut, almond, yellow apple, pear, jasmine and honeysuckle are prominent, while beautiful stony mineral notes shine in the finish. The finish, by the way, is notable for its extreme persistence and is the cherry on top of a truly outstanding white Burgundy, the kind of value every lover of these kinds of wine craves.

Vigneti del Vulture
Low yield, old vines on arid volcanic Mt Vulture up to 800m altitude. Two ancient grapes one famed in Roman times one pre-Roman (Greco = Greek, southern Italy was Hellenic before the Romans arrived, and what did they ever do for...). Basilicata is the forgotten mid-south but in wines terms it is extraordinary and fascinating. Made by a super-modern outfit, they have lifted this into proper word-class status. Aromatic, it smells like green melon and elderflower, light, no oak, pure, snappy. A triumph. Decanter: "A lush white with striking tropical notes that would be great with a peach and burrata salad, though it has the freshness to make a fine aperitif too." One of our best-selling wines - and it is obvious why!

Chapel Down
From an exceptional south-facing single vineyard set high on the North Downs. Without question the best still English wine I have tasted. It’s mouth-fillingly fine with rounded, supple peach-like fruit and an ever so slightly toasty, vanilla finish thanks to nine months in French oak. If you like serious white Burgundy or Chablis, you’ll love this.

Vilacetinho
Some fizz (relatively modest), low (10%) alcohol and a bit of sugar (only 5 grams per litre– barely over the legal “dry” limit and rather low for this style). It is a blend of 40% Arinto, 20% Azal, 20% Avesso and 20% Loureiro. This is the winery’s entry-level wine and it offers amazing value. We've made the decision to offer the wine in both cork and screwcap. This is the screwcap version.

Errazuriz
Errazuriz is one of the most famous Chilean wineries, founded in 1870 and consistently one of the world's most admired wine brands. They make the icon wine Sena, which beat Ch Lafite and Ch Mouton Rothschild in the Berlin Tasting to be named the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. The grapes for the Winemaker's Selection Sauvignon Blanc come from selected vineyards that grow close to the Pacific Ocean’s coast in the Aconcagua Region, on rolling hills at an altitude of 100 to 300 meters above sea level. Gentle Pacific breezes and morning fog make these vineyards ideal for producing refreshing Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes were picked by hand and take to the winery, where they were carefully destemmed, crushed and pressed. The must was lightly clarified and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation the wine was kept on their lees for three months to intensify its distinctive fruit character and develop a nice texture. The nose displays citrus aromas of lime and tangerine. The palate features flavours of mandarin, tropical fruits and herbal notes. A wine with refreshing acidity, great depth and persistence.

Ai Galera
Another winner from indigenous varieties; Portugal's great vinous inheritance. Demonstrates the skill and style of Portuguese winemaking these days, and the value of their offering. No oak, no over-extraction, not nonsense, just a beautiful limpid, light, lifted, bracing white so light it has not sign of gold in the colour, if anything a slight green hue. Not wishy-washy, it has plenty of character, but neutral in a good way, like Switzerland.

Kate McIntyre is the queen of Mornington, consistently turning out the most critically acclaimed wines from this famous area near Melbourne. Pale gold in colour with a lovely fragrant nose of yellow pear, chamomile, elderflower, blossom and a touch of honey. Domaine Olivier Leflaive
There’s a modest shift in this year’s blend: the domaine now manages two vineyards; and five domaine-owned sites make up the balance. The proportion of new oak (15%) is unchanged, as is the wine’s ability to punch above its weight. The fruit has a Puligny-style bite, with the clever use of the lees adding a creamy sidenote.
