Vincent's colaboration with his friend Maxime at Domaine Barriere - Espuma is 100% Malvoisie harvested on August 15. Aromatic, full of finesse with gorgeous citrus, white flowers and a beautiful tension between the fruit weight and the acidity. Bravo guys. Vincent Carreras has been working in wine industry for 13 years. For nine years he worked for a winery in the south of the Roussillon – Andy Cook’s Mas Cristine and Coume del Mas. Working in the vineyard, cellar and commercial activities – the whole shebang! For four years now he has been employed by a family winery based in Maury - Clos des Vins d'Amour. Who work 25 hectares organically in the west of Roussillon. Mostly in commercial activities, but also working in the cellar. Alongside this, in 2016, Vincent started a new project - Domaine Odyssée. The 3.5ha of vineyards are in Calce and Baixas, in a heart of Roussillon. The sites are small, but unquestionably some of the most beautiful we have seen. Vincent draws on the experiences mentioned above and his time in New Zealand (2011), Argentina (2012) and Bordeaux 2011 to help fully realise what he has there in his exceptional terroir. Vincent works organically, using no weedkillers, no chemical products. He works by hand and with organic fertilizer (he is in conversion right now). He harvests his parcels by himself with friends and family. In the cellar, Vincent’s philosophy is a minimum of intervention – “To keep the fruit and the terroir”. The wines are extracted gently with just a little pump over. No filtration, no fining. The only preservative is a little dose of sulphites in very low quantities at bottling “It is important for me the stabilise the wine in respect of the future customers”.

100% Mauzac from one parcel at 300 m on a plateau of Eocene molasse (marl, sandstone, schist, pebbles). In final year of conversion to organic certification, natural cover cropping. Yields 32 hl/ha. 60-year-old vines. Hand-sorted, only best free-run juice used. Fermented and aged in seasoned oak barrels with occasional bâtonnage. RS 0 g/l, TA 3.39 g/l, pH 3.29.

Made by Simon Coulshaw of the minimal-intervention school. Biodynamic farming although not certified. 100% Roussanne planted on their highest vineyards, a steep north-facing slope in the foothills of the Cévennes mountains. Isolated vineyards surrounded by herbaceous shrub and woodland on schist and basalt boulders. Hand-picked at 20-25 hl/ha, Five days' on skins then 48 hours of cold settling before racking. Spontaneous fermentation, no enzymes, no fining, minimal sulphur and sulphites. Carbon dioxide nap used to avoid oxidation.

Vina Marty is proud to present this Sauvignon Blanc, a unique wine in the world in its style, fermented using Japanese sake yeast n°7. Only members of the sake producer association are allowed to use these yeasts. We are then honoured to be the only non-Japanese member. These yeasts are a true treasure of Japanese culture and allow us to vinify at much lower temperatures than regular wine yeast, which has always been a dream for winemakers. This Sauvignon Blanc presents a very new and unique profile, mixing the wonderful terroir of Chile, techniques of French vilification, and the millenary tradition of Japan. Nose : Complex with a beautiful intensity of citrus fruits and white flowers, such as orange blossom. Notes of Green spices with bakery and vanilla flavours. Palate : A floral sauvignon blanc with criticus aromas. A hint of chilli pepper add originality to its character. It’s soft, dry, with medium acidity round and well balanced. Elegant thanks to a workon lees, we can enjoy a long and creamy finish.

Siete Pulgadas means Seven Inch, hence the picture of the vinyl record on the label. Very nice and fresh Albariño, with lovely tropical fruit aromas. Nice zesty palate with lemon and lime. There’s also passion fruit and peach and well balanced minerals. This wine offers good value from Rias Baixas where prices are on the rise due to global demand. Albarino is in vogue and nearly all of it comes from Rias Baixas.

Pascal Fournillon is a sweet-natured man, always happy when people find him in the sleepy hamlet of Bernouil, some 10 miles north-east of Chablis town. His mum also makes the best gougeres if you need further incentive. Pascal's vineyards cover some 23 hectares of land in the appellations of Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru and Epineuil. He is bottling more and more of his own wine rather than selling in bulk and this means we have access to good allocations of Chablis that Pascal is happy to age for us for a few years till it is perfect to drink. This Bourgogne Chardonnay is from vineyards near Chablis and bears all the hallmarks of it; steely, lemony, fine and elegant.

Serious "baby Chateauneuf Blanc" from the opposing side of the Rhone, 6 miles from Chateauneuf. Creamy, almost waxy, broad, dense, intense, aromatic, spiced. Almond and toast, apricot and lilies. Quite superb food wine with rich creamy sauces, roast birds, mushrooms, fish and chips. Way out of its class, a jewel and bargain from top Chateauneuf grower Sabon. Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette. Minimal sulphur, cool co-ferment, unfined, vines up to 40 years old, declassified vineyard.

Kate McIntyre is the queen of Mornington, consistently turning out the most critically acclaimed wines from this famous area near Melbourne. The Estate Pinot Gris is full bodied and dry. Fruit is sourced from the Garden and Osborn Vineyards. The wine is fermented in old oak, using wild yeasts, and goes through a full, natural malolactic fermentation in barrel. It shows yellow pear, quince and spicy notes on the nose and lovely weight and texture on the palate. To show its staying power Kate has released a little of the 2013 vintage on its 10th anniversary. It's exquisite, very harmonious and characterful, a joy to drink now.

A seasonal white that reflects the character of the vintage in a delicious, textural style. Aromas of quince, preserved lemon and barley lead through to a zesty palate of citrus, elderflower, stone fruits and almond.

A lovely Burgundy white with notes of orchard fruits, citrus, and vanilla with crisp acidity. The Prudhon family is one of the oldest in the village of Saint-Aubin. The vineyard has been passed down through the generations and today, the domaine covers 15 hectares of vineyards, spread out over Saint-Aubin and its neighbouring communes Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet.

Alain Geoffroy's estate produces this old vine premier cru from the Beauroy vineyard, accepted as one of the region's best. This is a very classic style, with aromas of white flowers, tinged with honey and lemon and a rich, rounded palate with those benchmark flinty notes.

Fresh, delicate aroma of apple blossoms and a hint of citrus and slate. An animating, enjoyable and juicy Riesling with crystal clear mineral texture; excellent balance of aromatic sweetness and racy fruit acid.

100% Chardonnay grown on limestone slopes in the best areas of the Macon. Made by the excellent Buxy cooperative, in stainless steel tanks then bottled after several months on lees. Floral and citrus notes, mouthwatering acidity and lovely long flavour. A superb introduction to White Burgundy this overdelviers for its price.

Exemplary Sancerre which we import directly from the Loire Valley ourselves. Linear, mineral driven, citrussy, with a slight herbal edge, and a tangy finish. Everything you could possibly want in a glass.

Dry, clean, and crisp with citrus notes, yellow plum, light green apple, & a hint of white pepper. Excellent as a starter/aperitif or pair with savoury starters, pasta & seafood dishes including tapas, antipasti, shrimp salad & sushi! The clever little Hungarian cricket discerns which vine tendrils it will eat and always avoids the Gruner Veltliner vine.

A classic Spanish white -100% Verdejo Temperature controlled fermentation preserves the fresh lemon and melon fruit; fruity but fresh great value. Great with seafood, and a lovely summer drinker.

Quintessential English Bacchus with a twist of the new world, made with fruit from various vineyard locations on the estate, including some of the oldest vines in the country. Intensely aromatic with grapefruit, pear, peach, lime, and herbaceous vegetal notes of nettle and cut grass. rich flavoursome mouthfeel with slight savoury notes on the finish due to partial barrel fermentation.

Classic Picpoul de Pinet with a pretty floral nose, very refreshing on the palate and an attractive grapefruit and lemon peel finish. This is a really lovely vintage from our friends at Domaine de Castelnau, great growers of Picpoul de Pinet.

Miles away from his Valley Vineyard and rightly so, this selected plot is only 10km from the Coast to keep the grapes cooler throughout the growing season, with a morning fog. A slatey steely crisp texture with a unique peach/pear and asparagus flavour. Very good value for money.

Citrusy and tropical fruit on the nose with abundant floralness. Dry and medium bodied on the palate with quite refreshing acidity. Well balanced fruit with some spiciness and lavender

A really excellent example of Bacchus grape and how well suited it is to the English climate. Lowish alcohol but loads of bright citrus flavours and great length too. A summery joy.

Easy to drink, fresh and crisp chardonnay. A good choice for people who prefer lighter and less bodied chardonnays.

Fleshy feel on the palate with a riot of stone-fruit, fresh-citrus and green-mango flavours. Such good value and so much flavour on offer. I like the textural qualities, too." Winemaker Notes Very aromatic! Pineapple leaps straight away leaps from the glass. It’s a medium bodied white wine, with green papaya, melon, white nectarine, stone fruits, followed by a little hint of ginger on the finish.

A terrific dry white Pacherenc from the Madiran region, creamy, zesty scents and an electric balance between almost flinty acidity and singing, tropical fruit. A great value aperitif.

Mid-yellow in color. The nose shows ripe apricot & nectarine fruit followed by toasty oak. The palate's rounded, ripe apricot fruit initially marries well with vanilla oak. There are attractive notes of lime & lime-flower on the mid-palate, before the oak becomes a little drying. Slight alcohol warmth rounds out the finish, which has a pungent, crisp, lingering grapefruit nature

Star-bright pale straw with some green tinges, thin watery rim. Forthcoming nose, with green pepper, asparagus, tropical fruit. Fresh and green. Dry entry, crisp acidity. The green flavours follow through, but there are also some tropical fruit notes and some minerality on the mid-palate. Long and zesty finish A fresh, satisfying and typical sauvignon blanc, drinking well now. Versatile

A delicious blend of four white grapes, traditionally grown in the Alsace region: Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Muscat. Very pretty aromatic nose (flowers and turkish delight) with great structure from the ample acids and delicious clean, crisp fruity flavours. Plus there’s a hint of sweetness to balance the acidity and complement the sushi rice and soy sauce.

Another winner from indigenous varieties; Portugal's great vinous inheritance. Demonstrates the skill and style of Portuguese winemaking these days, and the value of their offering. No oak, no over-extraction, not nonsense, just a beautiful limpid, light, lifted, bracing white so light it has not sign of gold in the colour, if anything a slight green hue. Not wishy-washy, it has plenty of character, but neutral in a good way, like Switzerland.

Classic Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc from a declassified 3ha plot in Pouilly-Fumé. Fragrant, with pure juicy fruit and a slight grassy edge. Grown and made by David and Shirley Maudry at their dynamic young estate, Maison Lispaul.

Viognier (1984-85) from 1.1 hectare on Côte Châtillon at Condrieu, raised 50-60% 22 hl large oak barrel and 40-50% steel vat, malo completed. "fine yellow robe; the nose is very elegant, composed of peach, aniseed, white plum, has an excellent floating style, grace. This is top tack! It has much suavity of texture, with very assured persistence, is refined and gliding throughout. It’s real good Châtillon, bang on the money as it should be. It bears neat iron touches, has a pear-buttery flavour, and butter-floral late moments, a dab of petrol also. Much refinement here." Jonathan Livingstone-Learmonth

This Chardonnay is fermented and aged on lees during 8 months in new French oak barrels. 100% malolactic fermentation in oak. Golden yellow colour with green flashes. Intense aromas of apple and pear stand out, with mineral hints. The palate is buttery and unctuous and the vanilla provided by the oak is well integrated. Long and persistent finish.

A crisp unoaked White Rioja made from the Viura variety. Slightly lemony and beautiful with any seafood tapas.

2-vineyard. Rabigato, Viosinho, Arinto. 10% barrel ferment. Classic Douro white - such freshness but such richness with cool white peach fruit and a grapefruit lift.

Jancisrobinson.com 16.5/20 "Powerfully pungent nose! You could mistake this for a very catty Sauvignon if you just took one sniff. Big, big, blackcurrant-bush and salvia-leaf nose with quite a lot of greengage. But the palate takes Sauvignon and flies off-piste, weaving in honey and lychee, mountain-stream pebbles, sweet grapefruit and smoked green pepper. Incredible clarity and translucency that comes from the acidity, which arcs across the palate, not in a pencil-fine-line of an arc but broad, in the shape of a scythe. Axel Pauly is one of the dynamic young stars of German wine. He took over the Pauly estate from his father after having done vintages in California, New Zealand and other parts of Germany. Most of the ten hectare estate is situated in the village of Lieser in the heart of the Mosel Valley, with the exception of a small parcel in neighbouring Bernkastel. Fittingly, the label features the Mosel hills which, when turned on their side, reveals the ‘Tres Naris’ (or ‘three noses’) of Axel, his father and his grandfather. Generations' Riesling was harvested from the family's steeply sloping vineyard in Lieser. This is an off-dry style white. Fresh hay aromas mingle with lemon citrus, pear and melon fruits. The sweetness and high acidity are well balanced, with a dry finish. On the palate, the wine is tangy, with subtle fruits and a hint of minerality. This would be delicious with a slightly spicy thai stir-fry.

Simply the classiest Pouilly-Fumé. No competition. Splendidly energetic and vivid, blade-like acidity, fresh as dew, lifted and lithe. The 2020 and 21 vintages were tiny so this wine will be extremely hard to come by in the next few years. 600 year old estate, easily the best Pouilly-Fume (search Pouilly-Fume 17/20+ on jancisrobinson.com and only Tracy wines appear!). My favourite Sauvignon Blanc on the planet. Complex, multi layered, slightly wild, super elegant. A must.

Sauvignon Blanc on the nose, but there is also 20 percent Sauvignon Gris which gives weight and body. Good creamy weight and depth, white and yellow fruits with a crisp finish.
