Hacienda Lopez De Haro
95/100 Decanter "Another wonderful example of aged white Rioja with an inherent creaminess, volume and immediate appeal. It has the potential to age further but is absolutely ready to drink now. In a blend of Viura and Malvasía with 10% Garnacha Blanca, the oak - aged for three years in oak barriques sourced from France and Eastern Europe, one third each new, second-use and third-use - supports the wine perfectly with a fresh grainy texture and the lemon backbone is persistent and somewhat refreshing."

Iona
White grapefruit, intense tropical fruit, ripe gooseberry and fleshy kiwi fruit over-lay Iona's distinctive herbal and floral undertones. The palate is keenly balanced showing cut green apples and lime marmalade followed by great minerality and length. Vegan.

Vilacetinho
Some fizz (relatively modest), low (11%) alcohol and a bit of sugar (only 5 grams per litre– barely over the legal “dry” limit and rather low for this style). It is a blend of 40% Arinto, 20% Azal, 20% Avesso and 20% Loureiro. This is the winery’s entry-level wine and it offers amazing value. We've made the decision to offer the wine in both cork and screwcap. This is the screwcap version.

Domaine des Soulanes
Very rare, very low production (72 bottles only for the UK in 2024 vintage!). Mineral, taught. Fine and long. One of the unsung whites of the Roussillon. A blend of Grenache Gris, Grenache Blanc, Carignan Gris and Carignan Blanc. Outstanding wine. Ages gracefully for 10++ years. Beautiful vineyards that are beautifully worked.

Domaine des Soulanes
A very special wine from ancient plants of two of the rarest and very best vines for Soualnes terroir, Grenache Gris and Carignan Gris. This really does have everything. It's floral, honeyed orchard and citrus fruits added to its sumptuousness, its layers of texture and bright but not too spiky acidity. Very long with great balance and so much interest. Divine stuff that is here in tiny quantities.

Bodega El Porvenir de Cafayate
This is El Porvenir's emblematic Torrontes. They have been making this wine since 2004 and it is the result of 3 different harvest days in search for good acidity, freshness, intensity in the aromatics, and nice weight in mouth. Wine of elegant colour with shades of bright greenish yellow. Fresh and fruity character, intense and typical, with an interesting floral aroma that brings memories of roses. Yellow with bright greenish tonalities. Good character with nice citric notes. Good structure, balanced and with a very nice acidity.

Domaine Laguerre
Very rare, very low production. One of the legendary white wines of the Roussillon grown at elevation (500m) in a vineyard called 'Le Soula' (the name adopted by the neighbouring estate Eric Laguerre was once involved with) high in Saint-Martin-de-Fenouillet, on granite soils. Mineral, taught, fine and long with beautiful texture. A blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, Rolle, Grenache Blanc and Maccabeu. Outstanding wine which can age gracefully for 25++ years. Beautiful vineyards that are beautifully worked by the master Eric Laguerre. After first visiting the vineyard back in September 2009, we are very happy to now be importing the wines from Domaine Laguerre exclusively to the UK market. The Rhône cannot make white wines like this, although they carry a far higher price which somehow, wrongly, implies that they are somehow better, more valuable. This wine. Spliced by acidity that is so laser focused yet so gentle that it feels like the fall of spring petals through sunlight and falls like a blade of obsidian leaving a cut so fine that only the air drew breath in its wake. This wine. Tastes of Reine Claude plums so sweet the flesh has turned liquid to honey inside the green-gold skin, of cardamom husk caught in the pot of cream coddling slowly on the stove; of pink grapefruit and sucking on a twist of aromatic peel. Exquisite freshness; nacreous beauty; and yet almost shockingly bare of winemaking tricks. It's beautiful. Complete. A lunar cycle in the glass; waxing crescent, waxing gibbous, waning gibbous, waning crescent. GV (TC)

Chateau de Fesles
An emblematic property of Anjou, the Château de Fesles and its wine estate were built in the 11th century at the top of the 4th highest point in the Loire Valley. Its exceptional geographical position as well as its proximity to the Layon river allow it to produce wines with a distinguished and complex character. Buttery and creamy on the nose with a lovely dose of oak giving honeycomb and caramel notes to the green apple and peach fruit. Lovely precise acidity and chalky tannic texture. Long, bright, flavoursome and characterful. Starting to show some attractive development on the finish too.

Azienda Agricola Vicentini Agostino
Vicentini is a family business where Agostino works with his wife, Teressa, and their children Emanuele and Francesca. Based in San Zeno, a village at the mouth of the Val d‘Illarsi which resides inside both the Soave and Valpolicella DOCs, but is outside of their respective Classico zones. But don't let this last point cloud your vision to their outstanding wines produced in two distinct and great terroirs. The first terroir is on volcanic rock within the Valle dei Ciliegi, here the land is largely responsible for their "Valpolicella" and "Soave Casale". The second terroir is on limestone in the commune of Terrelunghe, where Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave are grown for the 'Terrelunghe' Soave. Organically farmed 30++ year old vines of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave trained using the traditional pergola system deliver beautiful stone fruit with a lemon lift along with a touch of sweet almond and gorgeous aromatic, leafy herbs. Absolutely spot-on Soave! SO DELICIOUS.

The 2022 vintage of this extraordinary wine was awarded Tre Bicchieri in Gambero Rosso 2025 edition. Beautiful, direct wine with tension and intense, spicy stonefruit and citrus fruit which is tangy, salty and stony. Brilliant, brilliant wine. The Casale vineyard is outside of the Classico zone, but consistently produces one of Soave’s most heralded and best loved wines. The fifty year old vines on volcanic soil give very low yields producing a wine of great balance and real interest. The grapes are hand-picked, sorted and de-stemmed before being fermented in temperature-controlled steel vats. Winemaking is hands off and the fruit speaks directly of this wonderful, carefully worked site. Outstanding stuff.

Domaine Odyssee
Natural, organic Macabeu from a beautiful vineyard in Calce, Roussillon. Grown with great care and wildly fermented and aged in old oak barrels. Floral, racy and minerally with soft texture and generous apple and apricot fruit. Just lovely. Vincent Carreras has been working in wine industry for 13 years. For nine years he worked for a winery in the south of the Roussillon, Andy Cook’s Mas Cristine and Coume del Mas. Working in the vineyard, cellar and commercial activities - the whole shebang! For four years now he has been employed by a family winery based in Maury - Clos des Vins d'Amour. Who work 25 hectares organically in the west of Roussillon. Mostly in commercial activities, but also working in the cellar. Alongside this, in 2016, Vincent started a new project - Domaine Odyssée. The 3.5ha of vineyards are in Calce and Baixas, in a heart of Roussillon. The sites are small, but unquestionably some of the most beautiful we have seen. Vincent draws on the experiences mentioned above and his time in New Zealand (2011), Argentina (2012) and Bordeaux 2011 to help fully realise what he has there in his exceptional terroir. Vincent works organically, using no weedkillers, no chemical products. He works by hand and with organic fertilizer (he is in conversion right now). He harvests his parcels by himself with friends and family. In the cellar, Vincent’s philosophy is a minimum of intervention "To keep the fruit and the terroir.". The wines are extracted gently with just a little pump over. No filtration, no fining. The only preservative is a little dose of sulphites in very low quantities at bottling "It is important for me the stabilise the wine in respect of the future customers".

Domaine Gramiller
Frédéric Julien farms 15 hectares of vineyards in Rasteau. As there is no Rasteau Blanc, the appellation is not so relevant for white wines so this is declassified to Vin de France to allow maximum expression. 50 % bourboulenc, 50 % Clairette. Vinfiied separately partly in oak and partly in tank. After 7 months the wine is blended. This has good fruit but better acidity, making it nervy and racy. Brilliant wine.

Dom. Gramiller
Delightful pet nat from Gramiller. So fine, fruity, fresh and elegant. 50% Clairette and 50% Ugni Blanc. Pear, white flowers and cut grass on the nose. The palate unfolds with these flavours whilst being juicy but oh-so fresh and very fine and elegant Pet Nat. An outstanding effort.

Domaine Gaëlle et Jérôme Meunier
A project of impassioned labour built from the ground up by husband-and-wife team Gaëlle and Jérôme Meunier, this tiny Chalonnaise estate offers the opportunity to enjoy artisanal wine in the big-money world of Burgundy. The Domaine was born in 2005 when the pair rented their first parcel of vines in Bouzeron, selling to negociants and slowly expanding their holdings to include several parcels in Mercurey. From 2007 they began vinifying and bottling under their own name, and purchased winemaking premises. In the present they now cultivate 30 acres of land ranging from Puligny-Montrachet in the north down to their core holdings in Rully and Mercurey. About a third of these grapes are still sold to cooperatives, with Domaine Meunier retaining the rest for their own wines. Gaëlle and Jérôme pride themselves on harvesting early for freshness, and their wines are defined by a fruit-forward, easy-going style aimed at immediate enjoyment. Interventions in the vineyard and during winemaking are minimised to maximalise sustainability and preserve terroir character. Harvesting and sorting is all done by hand, with natural yeast fermentation and a highly judicious approach to oak influence, which is never overbearing or obtrusive, even in youth. The wines are generally unfined, with only light filtration. Yield restriction is rigorous, and although production is always small, at 2,000 cases in a good year, their desire to maintain quality and concentration irrespective of conditions means that in lean vintages total quantity can be significantly less than this. Indeed, their punctiliousness with selection means that their Chalonnaise wines often meet the far more stringent yield requirements of the Côte d’Or. Although volumes are low, the sheer quality of the wine speaks volumes of its own. Another of our producers in high demand, reliably selling out every year. Please contact us for inquiries regarding allocation and en primeur sales.

Ricossa
Arneis has been grown in Piedmont for maybe 500 years. Crisp, taut, dry, citrus, un-oaked , notes of pine and lime - a classy dinner wine. Straw-yellow colour with a fresh, broad bouquet, rich with hints of flowers, green apple and delicate notes of sage. In the mouth it is fresh, with an almond finish. Roero is characterized by the “rocche”, steep reliefs that cut the territory dividing the continental soils, based on river gravels and clays, from those of marine origin, where vines find their ideal conditions.
