White Wine

Winemaking Grapes were destemmed into a variable stainless steel tank, with fermentation taking place slowly via indigenous yeasts. After two weeks of skin contact, the wine was pressed and aged for six months in tank and old Burgundy barrels, then bottled by gravity in August 2024. Tasting Notes Nose: Orange blossom, honeysuckle Palate: Apricot, dandelion Food Match Seafood, salads or light pasta dishes.

Pretty aromas of yellow fruits such as peaches, citrus & pineapple with hints of linden and chamomile. The palate is lively, fruity and well-balanced, with good length.

Grown and made by David Maudry at his family estate, Maison Lispaul. This is a modern, pure fruited expression of Pouilly-Fumé.

Winemaking Picked in October 2023. A blend of two blocks: clone 121 from 2019 vines and clone 95 planted in 2009. Grapes pressed and settled before fermenting cool in stainless steel with added yeast. Tasting Notes Nose: Ripe citrus, orchard fruit Palate: Stone fruit, crisp, fresh and clean Food Match Creamy fish or chicken dishes, seafood, simple weeknight meals.

Delicate and dry with wonderfully defined crisp apple and pear fruit with a tiny hint of honey and herbs. There is good weight here, but beautiful balance to which makes it attractive and easy to drink

The nose is fresh and mineral, delicate notes of pear and white flowers. The palate is rich with green apple flavours and beautiful texture.

Grown and made by David and Shirley Maudry at their dynamic young estate, Maison Lispaul. New to CWM, this is a modern, pure fruited expression of Pouilly-Fumé.

This is a careful blend of the three of the classic Champagne varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, and is made using the traditional method where the second fermentation is done in the bottle. It has a fresh, fruit aroma of green apple, melon with subtle honey and floral characters. On the palate a delightful combination of toffee apple and baked apple, rounded with good acidity and a delicate mineral finish.

Vermentino di Maremma from Tenuta di Belguardo estate is a medium bodied dry wine, made by 100% of Vermentino white grape. The caracteristic of this wine is its minerality, which is massive thanks to the sea breeze that flows between the bunches in the vineyards , and the limestone soil where the vines grow. Since 1997 Tenuta di Belguardo is owned by Mazzei family, historacally devoted to winemaking. Maremma is a particular zone where probably Vermentino gives its best in Tuscany and the result in this case is a limpid white wine with vanilla and yellow peach notes , all kept fresh with a seam of textured minerality.

A beautifully, light, vibrant white to be appreciated for its zesty, citrus and green apple character and refreshing quality. Excellent as an aperitif, with starters, risottos and fish-based first courses.

The name Vulcanico highlights the characther of this wine made from the vineyards near the Vulcano Vulture. The freshness, balminess and delicacy typical of the Falanghina grape are seamlessly belnded with the brightness and generosity, a unique combination reminiscent of Southern Italy. Wet stone, a spritz of lime and crushed yellow apple form an attractive bouquet. It's round and pliant in feel with saline-tinged orchard fruits that add a savoury twist. Nuances of tropical melon and pretty inner florals linger as it finishes long yet crisply refreshing

Marcel Deiss is an Alsace legend - a rare, mature gem.

From an ancient monopollage so prized for its quality that its output is, in most years, destined for Eiswein. The Helenenkloster produces powerful Rieslings even in cooler vintages, with this Kabinett displaying ripe, juicy orchard fruit, lime zest and subtle floral notes.

Notes of grapefruit, guava and melon on the nose, easing to crisp palate of lemon, peach and white pepper with a good length. Pairs perfectly with white meats and shellfish, or enjoyed on its own!

A Sémillon from old vines crafted like a great wine: precise aging in oak barrels, noble character, and true complexity. L’Audacieux Blanc lives up to its name, offering an ambitious and gastronomic interpretation of Bordeaux white. The Guimberteau family has owned the Château Franc-Baudron estate since 1923. This is a vineyard on a human scale where each generation has left its footprint on the family heritage. Since 2010, the new generation of Château Franc-Baudron has embarked on an environmental approach by converting the entire vineyard to organic farming. The area hosts bee-hives, uses plants for treatments (horsetail, nettle and ferns) and seeds flowers to encourage biodiversity of wildlife in the vines. They have begun implementing new winemaking techniques by using minimal inputs to express at its best the nature of the grapes and the type of soil. Most of the family’s plots of Montagne Saint-Emilion are located on a clay-limestone plateau.

An excellent vintage for this always exceptional vineyard which produced wines of real power, ageworthiness and minerality. Richter's interpretation, from 90 year old vines, displays slate, spice, apricot and white blossoms.

Gérald Delhome "This is an interesting newcomer to the ranks in the northern sector of Crozes-Hermitage, with vineyards in the communes of Crozes itself, Larnage, Gervans and Erôme. There are almost 11.5 hectares of Crozes across 20 plots, Romain is the fifth generation; his great-grandfather Flavien Delhome had vineyards, while, on his mother’s side there were vineyards under her family in the shape of Severin Habrard, so there are two old roots at play here. Father Gérald took over the domaine in 1993, and concentrated on apricots and vines, the grape harvest sent to the Cave de Tain. Son Romain came on to the domaine in 2018; he had worked locally at Gigondas and in the Ventoux at Chêne Bleu, as well as in Virginia in the USA. The cellar was built in 2019. The domaine is HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) registered, a green credential, and the 2022 harvest will be officially organic. 100% Marsanne (1950s-late-1990s) from sandy-loess soils on Les Védias at Erôme & Gervans, hand harvested, whole bunch pressing, 3-4 day pre-fermentation maceration at 6°-8°C, vinification in steel vat until 1060-1050 specific gravity, then transferred to 3-10 year 228-litre oak casks, lees stirred at the end of fermentation, raised 9-10 months. 5,500 bottles produced". Wonderfully idiosyncratic. A lovely delicacy and intricacy, one is almost unsure the varietal is Marsanne, such is its elegance. The aftertaste is really delicious and where the wine really comes into its own - savoury, saline, nutty with a note of marzipan and, oddly, a touch of aromatic hops. Brilliant from the young star Romain!

The Mülheimer Sonnenlay is the largest single Richter vineyard and sits on the west-southwestern side of a slate stone hill south of Mülheim, a dry riverbed formed during the last ice age 250,000 years ago. This often extremely steep vineyard has a loose slate stone soil structure that is enriched by pebbles, loam and sand deposited by the ancient river. This kind of soil creates wines that combine typical slate stone mineral character with animated and elegant fruitiness. This Auslese has a high percentage of botrytis and, as such, displays great power, concentration and ageworthiness. It is in a great place now, with an appetising smoky element thanks to its near decade of age.

St Aubin has got to be one of the best value wines in Burgundy. This is a full-bodied, generous and precise wine. Easily accessible, it is the perfect accompaniment for aperitifs or a simple cooked meat (charcuterie), poultry or fish dishes.

Named for the trendy area of Cape Town that Savage Wines calls home, it drinks more like a Pouilly Fume than a Marlborough Sauvignon, with a real lushness to the palate, flavours of yellow plums, semi-dried pineapple, moringa flowers, a tiny hint of reduction and this amazing intense tanginess. Think sun-ripened yellow peppers blended up, with grapefruit pith and the faintest hint of blackcurrant. Terrific body and stunningly long in the mouth, it's tasting great now, and we're sure it will age with grace too.
