‘La Minuette’ blended rosé comes from La Livinière limestone terroir. Its pale colour and floral bouquet represent the ‘Minuette’ variety of rose planted in Kenya by Tim Ford in 1982, during his 25 years of rose production in Africa. A nod to both the past and the future, ‘La Minuette’ exemplifies estate values of tradition and modernity. Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault from outstanding organic Minervois La Livinière vineyards. A lychee-tinged colour evokes a very Provençal style. On the nose, finesse and elegance dominate, offering a refined aromatic bouquet. Notes of fresh grapefruit and tart raspberries blend harmoniously with vine peach, while cherry blossom adds a delicate floral touch. On the palate, the wine is gourmand, with flavours of strawberry and raspberry supported by fresh notes of clementine and bergamot zest. This Claret is fresh and balanced. The blend is Merlot-based and the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, giving a nice aroma of spice and wood smoke. The palate is fleshy with a hint of plum, the tannins fine and firm, leading to a generous finish. Drink now to 2036

The ‘Pipoli’ white is made from a blend of Greco and Fiano. It has a wonderful aromatic intensity with great depth on the palate, illustrating just how good these native white varieties are. Think pear, melon, elderflower and tropical fruits. A triumph.

Released in 2014, this no-age statement Taketsuru bottling is a blend of malts aged 10 years on average in different types of oak casks. A high percentage of Miyagikyo malt gives a fresh fruity character, joined by mature aromas from an important sherry cask influence.

Created at the Rum & Crab Shack in St. Ives, Cornwall, Dead Man’s Fingers has gained cult status amongst its loyal followers. A blend of Caribbean rum and spices, it’s inspired by Cornish flavours such as Saffron Cake, spiced fruit and the Shack’s own Pedro Ximenez ice cream. Can be drunk on its own or mixed.

Natural, organic Grenache from a beautiful vineyard in Baixas, Roussillon blended 50/50 with Fer Servadou from Aveyron in central France! The Fer Servadou is from Vincent's friends at Coultades du Coustoubi. The '78' moniker comes from both postcodes being added together - 66 for Roussillon and 12 for Aveyron. The blend makes for a beautifully aromatic wine with deep fruit, delicious, savoury and wholesome tannins in a really interesting, delightful wine. Vincent Carreras has been working in wine industry for 13 years. For nine years he worked for a winery in the south of the Roussillon, Andy Cook’s Mas Cristine and Coume del Mas. Working in the vineyard, cellar and commercial activities - the whole shebang! For four years now he has been employed by a family winery based in Maury - Clos des Vins d'Amour. Who work 25 hectares organically in the west of Roussillon. Mostly in commercial activities, but also working in the cellar. Alongside this, in 2016, Vincent started a new project - Domaine Odyssée. The 3.5ha of vineyards are in Calce and Baixas, in a heart of Roussillon. The sites are small, but unquestionably some of the most beautiful we have seen. Vincent draws on the experiences mentioned above and his time in New Zealand (2011), Argentina (2012) and Bordeaux 2011 to help fully realise what he has there in his exceptional terroir. Vincent works organically, using no weedkillers, no chemical products. He works by hand and with organic fertilizer (he is in conversion right now). He harvests his parcels by himself with friends and family. In the cellar, Vincent’s philosophy is a minimum of intervention "To keep the fruit and the terroir.". The wines are extracted gently with just a little pump over. No filtration, no fining. The only preservative is a little dose of sulphites in very low quantities at bottling "It is important for me the stabilise the wine in respect of the future customers".

A joining of worlds. Ross on Wye’s Dabinett, fermented in Kentucky oak barrels, with its aromatic vanilla, gentle and complex tannins, melded with Nightingale’s Bramley, with bracing acidity and delicious green sourness. We tried a dozen blends, but this one tells a story of East and West, of Kentish and Herefordian cidermaking.

Just a touch of maturity gives this some interesting layers of complexity. Remains fresh though - a lively aperitif served properly chilled. I also forgot to mention the complexity here lies in one of the reserve wines being from 1964! They really are geniuses at blending historical wines…

This 2015 is a fantastic vintage, with its equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The nose is delicate, subtle, powdered with pastry tones. On the palate, the attack is somewhat lively, with beautiful bitter notes that gradually melt. Serve as an aperitif or with poultry and game.

It was created using botanicals that were foraged locally in the spring and summer of 2021 in a bid to capture the essence of the shifting English seasons. Billed as a “collector’s item” The gin was distilled using the company’s novo-dimensional distillation system, in which nine variables including temperature, pressure and time can be adjusted for the distillation of each botanical. These separate distillates are then blended together to create the final spirit. With botanicals include lemon balm, hawthorn blossom, nettles and cow parsley flowers, Cambridge Distillery says the gin is elegant with citrus and herbaceous notes. It recommends serving chilled, over ice, or in an extra-dry martini.

Gin 8 demonstrates how molecular flavour tuning can make a harmonious blend of just 8 separate molecular notes. These are derived from 8 exotic botanicals, including Kaffir lime, yuzu and grains of paradise, layered over a core of subtle, organic juniper. The flavour and scent profile is led by lively kaffir lime and citrus zest, following through middle notes of juniper and watermelon and onto a base of warm orange flavours. Gin 8 is a very flexible spirit: enjoy it neat, on ice, paired with your favourite tonic, or in the very finest cocktails.

La Bastille Rouge is a blend of Carignan and Merlot grapes and offers a fruity palate with a spicy finish. A good introduction to French reds it is well suited to red meat dishes but can be enjoyed on its own.

Pure essence of what Viognier is at Yalumba: apricot fruit, long luscious textures and hints of orange oil with a refreshing finish.

This Brut Rosé is made almost exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes from the Montagne de Reims region, and from Premiers Crus and Grands Crus. Just 10% of Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blancs rounds out the blend. Seriously fruity.

Malvasía, vertical trellis, planted in 1964 – La Arboleda, Uco Valley Direct pressing of 70% of the grapes, that fermented at 13°C in contact with a stems infusion. The other 30% fermented partially with skins. In both cases by tasting, we decide when to remove them to continue fermenting without these, a part in barrels of new French oak until its completion. REST TIME IN BARRELS: Aging on lees with frequent batonnages in both, barrels and tank, for 4 months before blending and bottling.

Excellent and very underrated apéritif from the Cognac region of France. A blend of fresh grape juice from Colombard grapes and wonderfully smooth cognac, it has freshness, a hint of sweetness and a clean finish.
