On the palate fresh, velvety with a long finish. 6 months in French oak gives this wine an attractive colour with a scent and taste which is reminiscent of citrus, apples and peaches. Rivetto
Only 24 bottles available from this small and prestigious vineyard in 2018. Briccolina is the pioneer vineyard for Rivetto's biodynamic approach, introduced in 2015. It is the only Barolo Cru granted the Demeter certification. It is a vineyard-garden, a poly-culture entirely worked by hand. Situated in Serralunga d’Alba at 340 meters with west/south-west exposure. The soil is clay-limestone, with an abundant presence of marl at a depth of two meters. Soil with sub-alkaline reaction. Scaled selection, carried out three times during the 45 days before the grape harvest. Manually harvested as late as possible. Stalk and grape seeds removal/pressing and maceration for sixty days, half of which with submerged-cap and the other half with a floating cap. No controlling of temperature during the fermentation that occurs naturally on the wild yeasts of this special garden in large, open-topped wooden vats. Malolactic completed. Aged in 15-hl oak barrels for 36 months, then aged in bottle for a further 16 months before release. Sometimes the bottles are held back a further five years. "This Barolo opens with darker fruit notes of black cherry and warmed raspberry. Wild herbs, dried leaf and cedar notes waft from the glass as it opens. The palate is brooding with roasted wild berries, black tea and savory spices giving way to an earthy finish and fine and firm tannins. Drink 2028 - 2045". Jeff Porter in Wine Enthusiast 94/100

Lukas van Loggerenberg
100% Chenin Blanc from two parcels, 60% from a block in the Paardeberg (Swartland) and 40% from the Polkadraai hills of Stellenbosch. Both parcels are grown on Granite soils. The combination of these parcels brings together the best of both regions and makes an incredibly sophisticated wine that is also generous and meets all hopes and expectation. The Paardeberg portion is from a bush vine vineyard planted on decomposed granite giving the wine its elegance, finesse, and focus. The portion from the Polkadraai is planted on Granite and lends characteristics of yellow fruit and depth to the wine. In the cellar The parcels are vinified separately before being blended just before bottling. Grapes were destemmed, pressed, and left overnight to settle in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then racked to 3rd fill 500-liter French oak the next morning. The wine spent 10 months on its primary lees without any batonage before being blended and bottled. No commercial yeast or enzymes were used during the winemaking process. ANALYSIS: ALC 13% | TA 6.1g/L | pH 3.34

Chateau Beau Site
Exhibiting aromas of minty berries, spices and licorice, the 2021 Beau Site is a medium-bodied, lively and nicely balanced wine. It derives from a gravel "croupe" near Calon-Ségur. "Beau-Site" means beautiful site and lies just behind Grand Cru Château Calon-Segur on one of Medoc's highest points with fantastic views over the river Gironde. It was originally classified as a Cru Bourgeois Superieur in 1932 but in 1966 Beau Site was reclassified as a Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel. The Castéja family, who also own Château Batailley and Château Trotte Vieille, bought the château in 1955. The château has nearly 100 hectares of vines with an average age of 35 years. Beau-Site's 18th century underground cellar is one of the oldest in the Médoc and presents the perfect maturing conditions for a wine that is vinified with the same care and technique as a Grand Cru Classé. Beau-Site's wine is full of power and temperament, a typical Saint-Estèphe with tannins allowing for keeping this wine for some years.

Dominio de Pingus
Made from Tinto Fino (the grape that established the region’s fame, also called Tinta del Pais, a local variant of Rioja’s Tempranillo) and a tiny small percentage of Grenache, mostly older vines from 630 plots from 21 different villages. Made at seven different cellers using two selection tables and their own tanks. Vinification takes place in traditional concrete tanks and has aged during 18 months in a mix of second and third year oak barrels used for the Pingus and also in large Foudres, avoiding voluntarily the use of new wood. This wine is available to order En Primeur. When you order wines En Primeur you buy wines that are as yet not available for physical delivery but are available for purchase. They are sold without Excise and VAT taxes and an invoice is issued soon after order, for payment. Excise and VAT may become payable when the wine physically arrives in the UK. When a wine arrives in the UK is a matter of when it becomes available from the producer and when we are able to import it. Normally wines will be shipped 2-3 years after harvest, but it can take longer or less than that. When the wines are shipped to the UK they can either be transferred, under bond, to an account in a Bonded warehouse or delivered duty paid. For Under Bond deliveries. Please indicate by return if you wish the wine to remain under bond and before the wine arrives provide details of the bonded warehouse address and the account you would like it held under. A charge for the under bond transfer will be made at the time of delivery, and varies from Bond to Bond. For Duty Paid Deliveries. All prices exclude HM Excise, Customs and VAT. Current Excise rates are £13.39 per 4.5 litre case (equivalent to 6x75cl), Customs are Zero and VAT is currently charged at 20%. These taxes are liable to change, and will be charged at the prevailing rate when the goods are shipped and delivered. At that time, a refund will be issued for the value of the amount paid En Primeur and a new VAT invoice issued, including a charge for onward delivery. Only the balance of the two will be payable on delivery. Contact orders@cambridgewine.com with any further enquiry.

Ornellaia
The desire to nurture the Estate’s exceptional qualities has shaped Ornellaia’s philosophy since the beginning. Ornellaia is a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot and the faithful expression of unique terroir developed in harmony with nature. ““With its usual deep ruby red colour, Ornellaia 2020 stands out on the nose with ripe red fruits and delicate vanilla and gentle tobacco notes. Upon tasting, the wine reveals itself to be rounded and velvety, making an enjoyable and engaging first impression that entices for a second sip. The tannins are dense yet elegant and the finish proves to be savoury and enduring.” Olga Fusari – Winemaker Press “This is a beauty, so generous and opulent with fully seamless transitions. The wine’s traditional blend is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with tiny percentages of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, although this warm vintage makes due with a pinch less of the Cabernet Sauvignon. […] This broad and generous expression has a beautiful quality of fruit and oak that speaks to the very best of Italian winemaking.” 95-97 Points – Wine Advocate, Monica Larner

La Vigna si San Martino di Argiano
Outstanding Chianti Classico Riserva from the cooler north west of Chianti. Grown on soils very similar to Felsina's vineyards in Berardenga, this cooler terroir in Argiano helps produce a wine of great energy, elegance and inherent harmony. La Vigna di San Martino ad Argiano is the personal project of Giampaolo Chiettini. Giampaolo spent a good number of years working alongside Paolo di Marchi at Isole e Olena where he fell deeply in love with Sangiovese and honed his skills and became a very highly regarded winemaker of the region. Antinori and Ca' del Bosco have also used Giampaolo's services over the years. He still consults and makes wine for the outstanding Castagnoli and brilliant newcomers Ejamu amongst others. This personal project comes from a beautiful, tiny (1ha!) vineyard in Argiano in the San Casciano Val di Pesa commune. Organic Sangiovese grapes are destemmed and gently crushed then undergo wild fermentation with natural yeasts. The wine is bred in used tonneaux. Giampaolo's trained, light hand in the cellar has helped produce a really rather wonderful Chianti Classico Riserva. This 2020 knocked us out. Immense energy and focus to the wonderful fruit and character. Only 2,000 bottles produced. This wine proves utterly marvellous drinking now, but shall age gracefully and beautifully for many years. We can't wait to follow the evolution! This Chianti Classico Riserva 2020 was one of only four wines to scoop the top score of 17.5/20 from Walter Speller on jancisrobinson.com in the "Chianti Classico Riserva 2020" section of his full report on the 2019 and 2020 vintages published earlier in 2023. Our Senior Buyer, Stewart Travers, had met and tasted with Giampaolo the month before the reports were published and similarly benchmarked the wine and then realised we were on to something very exciting indeed. Make sure you get on the allocation list early! And also make sure you grab a bottle of his immense Vin Santo 2017, here in tiny quantities!

Saffron Grange
We are very excited to be able to bring you the 2019 Brut Classic Cuvée. This multi award-winning wine has won a 2023 Decanter World Wine Award, an International Wine Challenge and a Wine GB Award and most recently has been named as one of the top 100 UK wines in 2023. 2019 was another outstanding growing year for us in East Anglia and prior to the record-breaking summer of 2022, the hottest temperature ever recorded (a whopping 38.7 degrees) was measured just down the road at the Cambridge Botanical Gardens in July 2019. This wine is made from 50% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 35% Chardonnay grapes and has been aged for 38 months on its yeast lees. The nose is packed with red apple, red berries and creamy brioche balanced with a palate of vibrant grapefruit, soft stone fruit and a hint of honey. With our renowned flint minerality coming through, this wine has an elegant, yet long finish. We think that this is a delicious and complex sparkling wine a perfect one to enjoy with a classic like Fish and Chips, a Sunday Roast or even on its own as a delicious aperitif.

Adi Badenhorst
The Rosé 2020 is a silky-smooth wine crafted from Swartland Cinsault by the legendary Adi Badenhorst. A crisp combo of wild strawberry, plum sorbet, tangy redcurrants, mint leaf and sea spray will have you wanting to stock up for summer. We love cans. There’s no corkscrew needed, no pressure to finish a whole bottle, no chance of finding it corked, and being lighter and easier to recycle, it’s much better for the environment. They’re also perfect for a weekday treat, a picnic in the park, or adding a splash to dinner while leaving enough for a glass for yourself. "Canned wine has gone seriously next-level". Antinori
The Pian delle Vigne estate, represents Marchesi Antinori’s deeply personal interpretation of a prestigious and traditional wine such as Brunello di Montalcino. The Antinori family acquired the estate in 1995, the same year the first Brunello Pian delle Vigne was harvested. 65 hectares are planted with vineyards that grow at an altitude of approximately 130 meters above sea level and enjoy a southwestern exposure. Pian delle Vigne has adopted the philosophy of aging in large casks that preserve the exceptional integrity of the Sangiovese berry and impart the characteristic vibrant elegance of Brunello to the wine. Winter and spring 2018 saw slightly lower than average temperatures and repeated rain showers. These climatic conditions provided excellent groundwater reserves in the vineyards ensuring normal bud break and optimal fruit set. Selective leaf removal in the month of June and cluster thinning between the end of July and the beginning of August guaranteed excellent vine balance and an optimal ripening phase. The grape harvest took place slightly later than average beginning on September 21st and was completed the first week of October with berries that were in perfect health and aromatic.

Chateau Vincens
A perenial favourite with staff, customers, restaurants and colleges. Simply a great value classic South West wine from Cahors, France. Beautifully sweet cherry pie nose, with oak, flowers, spices, minerals and savoury beetroot notes. Wonderfully fine tannins, great concentration of ripe plums and dried fruits, and a very long finish. Displays real elegance and power. "Spicy aromas offering rich berry fruits give this dense, luxurious wine its structure and concentration. It is smoky, balancing acidity against blackberry flavors. The wine will age and will be ready to drink from 2025". 91/100 Roger Voss in Wine Enthusiast Magazine And also a wonderfully French tasting note in Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2023 "A very expressive Malbec-Merlot duo, open without reserve on very ripe black fruits, supported by a discreet and elegant woodiness. The palate is ample, generous, powerful in hardness, with a nice return of fruit and a long, fresh finish. A most harmonious Cahors which will be appreciated both young and weathered by time".

Vina Marty
The sake yeast no7 is also at the basis of this creation. In contrast to the Sauvignon blanc, the sake culture is less easy to discover here…,. This is because the tannic structure of red wine predominates over the aromatic characteristics of this yeast culture. Some bottle aging will change this. But will this wine have a chance? The quality is already excellent. Lots of cherry and small red fruit in the smell and taste, with a refined and elegant aftertaste. No burgundy style, but classic and at a lonely height!

Vincent Girardin
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2021 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire is especially good, and the vintage would have appeared to have played to this site's strengths. Delivering musky aromas of orange oil, bergamot, nutmeg, peach and pear mingled with hints of freshly baked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming, with a fleshy, enveloping core of fruit, lively acids and an open but precise profile." 94 pts

The Les Tillets has a finesse, powerful style and matures for 18 months in new and used oak barrels. The nose is expressive with aromas of white fruit blossom, yellow and white fruit and a slight spiciness with some toast. Round, lively in the mouth, with an aromatic freshness of citrus and yellow fruit, with some nutty aromas in the end. This is a very delicate wine with a long finish and an underlying robustness and its style can be... described as between a classic Meursault and a typical Puligny-Montrachet.

Wow what a wonderful wine with a fantastic nose. Ripe fruits mingle with dried fruits with port like raisin and plum on the nose. Palate changes somehow and is much subtler, layered and expansive. Red apple, dried apricot, candied orange rind, Meyer lemon, smoke...it just keeps revealing itself further with this persisting mineral backdrop. Loved it!!!

Fruity, brambly and supple, this distinctly Argentinian Malbec will impress with generous lashing of plum, blackberry and hints of vanilla spice. About the winery: Bodega Sottano was founded in 1890 by Mr. Fioravante Sottano who settled in Mendoza after moving from Italy. Today the estate is a byword for quality, modern Mendoza wines that express a delicious sense of place.

Pale lemon yellow this Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh young wine. It offers aromas of mint, melon and pineapple with refreshing citrus notes of lime and grapefruit. The palate is soft and fruity with a medium body and a well balanced acidity.
