A soft start with a real crescendo of flavour: juicy berries make way for spice, before clean juniper and zesty citrus. A good balance of sweet-fruity and dry-herbal flavours.
Bright rhubarb stalks upfront, with a brief flash of sourness. This is followed by an array of sweet spice (vanilla, nutmeg, ginger), which adds balance.
Fresh Citrus notes with hints of sweetness are lifted alongside the bold juniper and subtle coriander spice to create a full flavoured but smooth whole.

The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is bottled at 46%, non chill filtered and natural colour.
This special edition of The Cheshire has been inspired by longer days and the invigorating salty air of the seaside. It’s a lighter expression, matured in gently charred casks and finished in Islay barrels brought fresh from the island, bringing their coastal character and peaty edge.
This is one of only 891 bottles of this unique release.
Cask types: Maturation - single-use, ex-bourbon, American oak quarter-casks, shaved, toasted and re-charred; Finishing - single-use ex-Islay casks.
Nose: Subtle smoke and sweet cherries. Meadow hay and a gust of bracing sea air.
Palate: Smoky and lightly-peated foretaste balanced by caramel and citrus. Touch of chilli heat.
Finish: Lasting and mellow, smoking embers. Vanilla and toasted marshmallow.
