Nose
Fruity and honeyed on acacia and broom with citrus, apricot, tobacco and licorice.
Palate
Rich and oily on beeswax with tropical fruits, hazelnut and slightly anised notes.
Into barrel on the 10th March 2017 this is almost 9 years old and at 45% abv. Aged in Warehouse K.
A complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet to the taste, with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. The finish is long and smooth.

Made to a 19th century colonial recipe. Perfect serve is over ice with tonic and a slice of orange which adds a touch of sweetness to balance the spice.
